Nach vielen Jahren starb der König von Ägypten. Die Israeliten stöhnten noch unter der Sklavenarbeit; sie klagten und ihr Hilferuf stieg aus ihrem Sklavendasein zu Gott empor.

Lange Zeit aber darnach starb der König in Ägypten. Und die Kinder Israel seufzten über ihre Arbeit und schrieen, und ihr Schreien über ihre Arbeit kam vor Gott.

Viele Jahre später starb der König von Ägypten. Aber die Israeliten stöhnten weiter unter der Zwangsarbeit und schrien verzweifelt um Hilfe. Gott war das alles nicht entgangen.

God Hears the Israelites' Cry
And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage. -
