»Wer soll denn kämpfen?«, fragte Ahab. »Die Truppe deiner Bezirksverwalter«, bekam er zur Antwort. »Und wer soll den Kampf eröffnen?« »Du!«, antwortete der Prophet.

Ahab sprach: Durch wen? Er sprach: So spricht der HERR: Durch die Leute der Landvögte. Er sprach: Wer soll den Streit anheben? Er sprach: Du.

Ahab fragte: Durch wen? Er erwiderte: So spricht der HERR: Durch die Truppe der Provinzstatthalter. Als dann der König weiter wissen wollte, wer den Kampf eröffnen solle, sprach er: Du selbst.
