Wieder kam der Prophet zu König Ahab von Israel und riet ihm: »Sei wachsam und überleg dir genau, wie du dich auf einen neuen Angriff vorbereiten willst. Denn im nächsten Frühling wird der König von Syrien wieder gegen dich in den Krieg ziehen.«

Da trat der Prophet zum König Israels und sprach zu ihm: Gehe hin und stärke dich und merke und siehe, was du tust! Denn der König von Syrien wird wider dich heraufziehen, wenn das Jahr um ist.

Da erschien der Prophet wieder beim König von Israel und sagte zu ihm: Sammle deine Kräfte und überleg dir gut, was du zu tun hast; denn um die Jahreswende wird der König von Aram abermals gegen dich ziehen.
