Hoffnung für Alle
Die Opferstätten, wo die Israeliten Sünde um Sünde begingen, werden verwüstet, die Altäre von Dornen und Disteln überwuchert. Wer überlebt, wird sich wünschen, dass die Berge auf ihn herabstürzen und die Hügel ihn unter sich begraben.

Die Höhen zu Aven sind vertilgt, durch die sich Israel versündigte; Disteln und Dornen wachsen auf ihren Altären. Und sie werden sagen: Ihr Berge, bedecket uns! und: Ihr Hügel, fallet über uns!

Verwüstet werden die Kulthöhen von Awen, die Sünde Israels: Dornen und Disteln werden ihre Altäre überwuchern. Dann wird man zu den Bergen sagen: Deckt uns zu! und zu den Hügeln: Fallt auf uns!
