»Pinhas, der Sohn von Eleasar und Enkel des Priesters Aaron, hat meine Strafe von den Israeliten abgewendet. Er hat sich mit aller Kraft für mich eingesetzt und so verhindert, dass ich die Israeliten in meinem Zorn vernichte.

Pinehas, der Sohn Eleasars, des Sohnes Aarons, des Priesters, hat meinen Grimm von den Kindern Israel gewendet durch seinen Eifer um mich, daß ich nicht in meinem Eifer die Kinder Israel vertilgte.

Der Priester Pinhas, der Sohn Eleasars, des Sohnes Aarons, hat meinen Zorn von den Israeliten abgewendet, weil er mitten unter ihnen Eifer für mich bewiesen hat. So musste ich die Israeliten in meinem leidenschaftlichen Eifer nicht umbringen.

Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.
