Hoffnung für Alle
Frühmorgens befahl Josua dem Volk, von Schittim aufzubrechen. Sie erreichten den Jordan, überquerten ihn aber noch nicht, sondern schlugen zunächst ihre Zelte am östlichen Ufer auf.

Und Josua machte sich früh auf, und sie zogen aus Sittim und kamen an den Jordan, er und alle Kinder Israel, und blieben daselbst über Nacht, ehe sie hinüberzogen.

Am frühen Morgen brach Josua mit allen Israeliten von Schittim auf. Als sie an den Jordan kamen, übernachteten sie dort, bevor sie ihn überschritten.
