Da machte sich Jerubbaal, das ist Gideon, früh auf und alles Volk, das mit ihm war, und lagerten sich an den Brunnen Harod, daß er das Heer der Midianiter hatte gegen Mitternacht vom dem Hügel More im Grund.

In aller Frühe führte Gideon, den man auch Jerubbaal nannte, sein Heer zur Quelle Harod. Dort schlugen sie ihr Lager auf. Nördlich von ihnen im Tal lagerten die Midianiter am Fuß des Hügels More.

Am frühen Morgen brach Jerubbaal — das ist Gideon — mit allen Leuten, die er bei sich hatte, auf und sie errichteten bei der Ha-rod-Quelle ihr Lager; das Lager Midians war nördlich davon beim Hügel More in der Ebene.
