Сини Арона теж були поділені на черги. Сини Арона: Надав, Авігу, Єлеазар та Ітамар.

Divisions of the Levites

And the divisions of the sons of Aaron: the sons of Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

Але що Надав та Авігу померли раніше, ніж їхній батько, а синів у них не було, то священиками були Єлеазар та Ітамар.

And Nadab and Abihu died before their father, and had no children; and Eleazar and Ithamar exercised the priesthood.

Давид за допомогою Цадока, з синів Єлеазара, та Ахімелеха, з синів Ітамара, розділив їх на черги за їхньою службою.

And David distributed them, both Zadok of the sons of Eleazar, and Ahimelech of the sons of Ithamar, according to their office in their service.

Але виявилося, що між синами Єлеазара було більше голів над родинами, ніж між синами Ітамара, тож поділили їх так: із синів Єлеазара 16 голів над родинами, а 8 з синів Ітамара.

And there were more head-men found of the sons of Eleazar than of the sons of Ithamar, and [thus] were they divided: of the sons of Eleazar there were sixteen heads of fathers' houses, and eight of the sons of Ithamar according to their fathers' houses.

Розділили ж їх жеребами, одних і других, бо князі в святині й князі Божі були із синів Єлеазара і з синів Ітамара.

And they were divided by lot, one with another; for the princes of the sanctuary and the princes of God were of the sons of Eleazar and of the sons of Ithamar.

Записував же їх Шемая, син Натанаїла, писар з-поміж левітів, при цареві, при князях, при священикові Цадокові, при Ахімелехові, синові Евіятара, та при головах священицьких і левітських родин; одну родину з потомків Єлеазара вибрано жеребом і одну родину з потомків Ітамара.

And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, [one] of the Levites, inscribed them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and the chief fathers of the priests and Levites: one father's house was drawn for Eleazar, and one drawn for Ithamar.

Перший жереб випав на Єгояріва, другий на Єдаю,

And the first lot came forth for Jehoiarib, the second for Jedaiah,

третій на Харіма, четвертий на Сеоріма,

the third for Harim, the fourth for Seorim,

п'ятий на Малкію, шостий на Міяміна,

the fifth for Malchijah, the sixth for Mijamin,

10

сьомий на Гаккоца, восьмий на Авію,

the seventh for Hakkoz, the eighth for Abijah,

11

дев'ятий на Єшуа, десятий на Шеханію,

the ninth for Jeshuah, the tenth for Shecaniah,

одинадцятий на Еліяшіва, дванадцятий на Якима,

the eleventh for Eliashib, the twelfth for Jakim,

13

тринадцятий на Хуппу, чотирнадцятий на Єшевава,

the thirteenth for Huppah, the fourteenth for Jeshebeab,

14

п'ятнадцятий на Білгу, шістнадцятий на Іммера,

the fifteenth for Bilgah, the sixteenth for Immer,

15

сімнадцятий на Хезіра, вісімнадцятий на Гапіцеца,

the seventeenth for Hezir, the eighteenth for Happizez,

16

дев'ятнадцятий на Петахію, двадцятий на Єзекиїла,

the nineteenth for Pethahiah, the twentieth for Ezekiel,

17

двадцять перший на Яхіна, двадцять другий на Гамула,

17

the twenty-first for Jachin, the twenty-second for Gamul,

18

двадцять третій на Делаю, двадцять четвертий на Маазію.

the twenty-third for Delaiah, the twenty-fourth for Maaziah.

Це їхні черги при службі, як вони входили в дім Господній за постановою Арона, їхнього предка, як заповідав йому Господь, Бог Ізраїля.

This is their ordering in their service to come into the house of Jehovah, according to their ordinance, through Aaron their father, as Jehovah the God of Israel had commanded him.

20

А щодо решти синів Леві, то вони були: з синів Амрама — Шуваел; із синів Шуваела — Єхдея;

The Remainder of the Levites

And as for the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah.

21

від Рехавії: з синів Рехавії — перший Їшія;

Of Rehabiah, of the sons of Rehabiah, the head was Jishijah.

22

від іцгаріїв Шеломот; із синів Шеломота Яхат.

22

Of the Jizharites, Shelomoth; of the sons of Shelomoth, Jahath.

23

Сини Хеврона: перший Єрія, другий Амарія, третій Яхзіел, четвертий Єкамам.

-- And the sons [of Hebron]: Jerijah [the head], Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, Jekameam the fourth.

24

Син Узіела був Міха; з синів Міхи — Шамір.

The sons of Uzziel, Micah; of the sons of Micah, Shamir;

25

Брат Міхи — Їшія; з синів Їшії — Захарія.

25

the brother of Micah was Jishijah; of the sons of Jishijah, Zechariah.

26

Сини Мерарі: Махлі та Муші; Яазія теж був його син.

The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi; the sons of Jaaziah, his son.

27

Сини Мерарі, через Яазію, його сина: Шогам, Заккур та Іврі.

27

The sons of Merari by Jaaziah his son: Shoham, and Zaccur, and Ibri.

28

Від Махлі — Єлеазар; у цього не було синів.

Of Mahli: Eleazar, who had no sons.

29

Від Кіша — син Кіша: Єрахмаел.

Of Kish, the sons of Kish: Jerahmeel.

30

Сини Муші: Махлі, Едер та Єрімот. Це сини левітів за їхніми батьківськими родинами.

And the sons of Mushi: Mahli, and Eder, and Jerimoth. These were the sons of the Levites according to their fathers' houses.

31

Вони теж кидали жереб так само, як їхні брати, сини Арона при цареві Давидові, при Цадокові та Ахімелехові й при головах священицьких та левітських родин: голова над родиною так само, як менший його брат.

These likewise cast lots just as their brethren the sons of Aaron before David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief fathers of the priests and Levites, -- the chief fathers just as the youngest of their brethren.
