І Мемфівостей, внук Саулів, вийшов назустріч цареві. Не мив він собі ніг, не розчісував бороди й не прав одїжі своєї з того дня, як вийшов царь, до того дня, як він вертався здоровий.

І каже цар до Семея: “Ти не помреш!” І поклявсь йому цар.

А до Шім'ї цар сказав: „Не помреш!“ І заприсягну́в йому цар.

И Мемфивосфей, сын Ионафана, сына Саулова, вышел навстречу царю. Он не омывал ног своих, не заботился о бороде своей и не мыл одежд своих с того дня, как вышел царь, до дня, когда он возвратился с миром.

And Mephibosheth the son of Saul came down to meet the king, and had neither dressed his feet, nor trimmed his beard, nor washed his clothes, from the day the king departed until the day he came again in peace. -
