І встав царь і сїв у ворот. І сповіщено всьому народові, що царь седить у брамі, й ввесь люд прийшов перед царя; Ізрайлитяне ж* порозбігались по шатрах своїх.

Ото вставай тепер, вийди та й промов приязно до твоїх слуг, бо, клянусь Господом, коли ти не вийдеш, цієї ж ночі ніхто не зостанеться з тобою. А це буде гірше тобі за все лихо, що спало на тебе від твоєї молодости.”

А тепер устань, і говори до серця свої́х рабів. Бо присяга́ю Господом, якщо ти не ви́йдеш, то цієї ночі ніхто не буде ночува́ти з тобою, і це буде тобі гірше за всяке зло, що прихо́дило на тебе від молодости твоєї аж дотепер!“

Тож тепер, уставши, вийди і заговори до серця твоїх рабів, бо я поклявся в Господі, що коли сьогодні ти не вийдеш, то цієї ночі з тобою не залишиться нікого! Ти зрозумій, що це тобі буде гіршим від усього зла, яке спіткало тебе від твоєї молодості аж до тепер!

И встал царь и сел у ворот, а всему народу возвестили, что царь сидит у ворот. И пришёл весь народ пред лицо царя; Израильтяне же разбежались по своим шатрам.

Then the king arose, and sat in the gate. And they told unto all the people, saying, Behold, the king doth sit in the gate. And all the people came before the king: for Israel had fled every man to his tent. -
