Як занедужав був Елисей, і в тій недузї мав умерти, прийшов Йоас, царь Ізраїлский, до його та й промовив: Батеньку мій, батеньку! ти колеснице й комоннику Ізрайлїв!

Як захворів був Єлисей на недугу, від якої мав умерти, прийшов до нього Йоас, ізраїльський цар, і, плачучи над ним, сказав: “Батеньку мій, батеньку мій! Ізраїлева колісниця й коні!”

А Єлисей заслаб на неду́гу, що з неї й поме́р. І зійшов до нього Йоаш, Ізраїлів цар, і плакав над ним і говорив: „Ба́тьку мій, батьку мій, колесни́це Ізра́їлева та верхівці́ його!“

Елісей захворів своєю хворобою, через яку помер. І прийшов до нього Йоас, цар Ізраїля, і заплакав над його обличчям, промовляючи: Батьку, батьку, колісниця Ізраїля і його кіннотник!

Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. -
