{To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm of Asaph.} Sing aloud unto God our strength: make a joyful noise unto the God of Jacob.

Засьпівайте псальму, вдарте у тимпани, заграйте на гуслях милозвучних і вкупі на псалтирі.
Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.
Гукнїть трубою, як новий місяць настане, під повню його, в день празника нашого!
Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.
Бо такий закон для Ізраїля, і така заповідь Бога Якового.
For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.
Постановив се як сьвідченнє для Йосифа, коли він ійшов проти землї Египту, де я чув мову і не зрозумів її.
This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.
Я скинув тягарь з плечий його, руки його визволились від коша.
I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.
В бідї кликав ти мене, і я вислобонив тебе; я озвавсь до тебе із громової хмари; я пробував тебе над водами Мериви.
Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.
Слухай, народе мій, і я дам сьвідченнє тобі; Ізраїлю, ох коли б ти послухав мене!
Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;
Нехай не буде в тебе чужого Бога, і щоб ти не кланявся перед чужоземнїм богом.
There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.
Я Господь, Бог твій, що вивів тебе з землї Египту; відчини уста твої, і я наповню їх.
I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
Та народ мій не послухав голосу мого, і не покорився менї Ізраїль.
But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.
І я покинув їх на волю запеклого серця їх. Нехай ходять собі своїм робом.
So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels.
Ой, коли б то народ мій та послухав мене, коли б Ізраїль, було, ходив дорогами моїми!
Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!
Скоро покорив би я ворогів їх, і проти гнобителїв їх обернув би руку мою.
I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.
Ненавидники Господа покорили б ся йому, піддобруючись, а будучність була б їх на віки.
The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.
