А цариця Шеви почула була́ про славу Соломонову, і прийшла ви́пробувати Соломона зага́дками в Єрусалимі. Прийшла вона з дуже великим бага́тством, — із верблю́дами, що не́сли па́хощі та бе́зліч золота й дорогого камі́ння. І прийшла вона до Соломона, і говорила з ним про все, що було́ на серці її.
The Queen of Sheba’s Praise of Solomon
Now when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to Jerusalem to test Solomon with hard questions, having a very great retinue, camels that bore spices, gold in abundance, and precious stones; and when she came to Solomon, she spoke with him about all that was in her heart.

І Соломон вияснив їй усі її за́пити, і не було за́питу, незна́ного Соломонові, якого не порішив би він їй.
So Solomon answered all her questions; there was nothing so difficult for Solomon that he could not explain it to her.
І побачила цариця Шеви всю Соломонову мудрість та дім, що він збудува́в,
And when the queen of Sheba had seen the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built,
і їжу сто́лу його, і ме́шкання рабів його, і поставу слуг його та їхні одежі, і ча́шників його, та їхні одежі, і вхід його, яким він ухо́дить до Господнього дому, — і не могла вона з дива вийти!
the food on his table, the seating of his servants, the service of his waiters and their apparel, his cupbearers and their apparel, and his entryway by which he went up to the house of the Lord, there was no more spirit in her.
І сказала вона до царя: „Правдою було те, що я чула в своїм кра́ї про твої діла та про твою мудрість.
Then she said to the king: “It was a true report which I heard in my own land about your words and your wisdom.
І не повірила я їхнім слова́м, аж поки сама́ не прийшла та не побачили мої очі, — і ось не була́ предста́влена мені й половина великости твоєї мудрости: ти переви́щив славу, про яку я чула!
However I did not believe their words until I came and saw with my own eyes; and indeed the half of the greatness of your wisdom was not told me. You exceed the fame of which I heard.
Щасливі люди твої, і щасливі оці твої слу́ги, що за́вжди стоять перед обличчям твоїм та слухають твою мудрість!
Happy are your men and happy are these your servants, who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom!
Нехай буде благослове́нний Госпо́дь, Бог твій, що вподо́бав тебе́, щоб посадити тебе́ на Свого тро́на за царя у Го́спода, Бога твого, через любов Бога твого до Ізра́їля, щоб утверди́ти його навіки. І Він настанови́в тебе над ними царем, щоб чинити право та справедливість!“
Blessed be the Lord your God, who delighted in you, setting you on His throne to be king for the Lord your God! Because your God has loved Israel, to establish them forever, therefore He made you king over them, to do justice and righteousness.”
І дала́ вона царе́ві сто й двадцять талантів золота, і дуже багато па́хощів та дороге́ камі́ння. І більш уже не було таких па́хощів, як ті, що цариця Шеви дала́ царе́ві Соломо́нові!
And she gave the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold, spices in great abundance, and precious stones; there never were any spices such as those the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.
І також Хура́мові раби та раби Соломонові, що дово́зили золото з Офіру, спрова́джували алму́ґове дерево та дороге́ камі́ння.

Now King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all she desired, whatever she asked, much more than she had brought to the king. So she turned and went to her own country, she and her servants.

Solomon’s Great Wealth
The weight of gold that came to Solomon yearly was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold,

окрім того, що прихо́дило від купців та з торго́влі ходя́чих. І всі царі ара́бські та намі́сники Кра́ю дово́зили золото й срібло Соломо́нові.
besides what the traveling merchants and traders brought. And all the kings of Arabia and governors of the country brought gold and silver to Solomon.
І зробив цар Соломон дві сотні великих щитів із кутого золота, — шість сотень шеклів кутого золота йшло на одно́го щита,
And King Solomon made two hundred large shields of hammered gold; six hundred shekels of hammered gold went into each shield.
та три сотні щитів менших із кутого золота, — три сотні шеклів золота йшло на одно́го щита. І цар віддав їх до дому Ливанського Лісу.
І зробив цар великого тро́на зо слоно́вої кости, і покрив його чистим золотом.
Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with pure gold.
У тро́на було шість схі́дців та підні́жжя з золота позад трону, та пору́ччя з цього й з того боку при місці сиді́ння, та два леви, що стояли при пору́ччях.
І дванадцять левів стояли там на шости ступеня́х з того й з того боку. По всіх царствах не було так зро́бленого!
Twelve lions stood there, one on each side of the six steps; nothing like this had been made for any other kingdom.
І ввесь по́суд на пиття́ царя Соломона — золото, і всі речі дому Ливанського Лісу — щире золото, нічого з срібла, — воно за Соломонових днів не рахувалося за щось.
All King Solomon’s drinking vessels were gold, and all the vessels of the House of the Forest of Lebanon were pure gold. Not one was silver, for this was accounted as nothing in the days of Solomon.
Бо царе́ві кораблі ходили до Таршішу з Хурамовими рабами. Раз на три роки прихо́дили таршіські кораблі, що дово́зили золото та срібло, слоно́ву кість, і ма́вп та па́в.
І став цар Соломон найбільшим від усіх зе́мних царів, щодо багатства та щодо мудрости.
So King Solomon surpassed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.
І всі земні царі хотіли бачити Соломона, щоб послу́хати його мудрости, що Бог дав у його серце.
And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart.

Each man brought his present: articles of silver and gold, garments, armor, spices, horses, and mules, at a set rate year by year.

Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen whom he stationed in the chariot cities and with the king at Jerusalem.

І Соломон наскладав в Єрусалимі срібла, мов того камі́ння, а кедрів наскладав, щодо числе́нности, як сикомо́ри, що в Шефелі!
The king made silver as common in Jerusalem as stones, and he made cedar trees as abundant as the sycamores which are in the lowland.
А ко́ней приво́дили Соломонові з Єгипту та з усіх країв.
And they brought horses to Solomon from Egypt and from all lands.
А решта Соломонових діл, перших та останніх, — ото вони описані в історії пророка Натана, і в пророцтві шілонянина Ахійї, і в виді́ннях прозорли́вця Єді на Єровоама, Неватового сина.

І царював Соломон в Єрусалимі над усім Ізраїлем сорок літ.
Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.
