Ви́зволь мене від люди́ни лихо́ї, о Господи, бережи мене від наси́льника,
You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.

що в серці своїм замишляють злі речі, що ві́йни щодня виклика́ють!
You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.

Вони го́стрять свого язика́, як той вуж, отру́та гадю́ча під їхніми у́стами! Се́ла.
Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.

не виконай, Господи, бажань безбожного, не здійсни́ його за́думу! Се́ла.

Бода́й голови́ не підне́сли всі ті, хто мене оточи́в, бодай зло їхніх уст їх покрило!
