Господи, Боже мій, — я до Тебе вдаю́ся: спаси Ти мене від усіх моїх напасникі́в, і визволь мене,
Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
щоб ворог моєї душі не розша́рпав, як лев, що кості ламає, й ніхто не рятує!
O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;
Господи, Боже мій, коли я таке учинив, коли є беззаконня в доло́нях моїх,
If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)
коли я доброчи́нцеві злом відплатив, і без причини ограбува́в свого противника, —
Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.
во́рог нехай переслідує душу мою, і нехай дожене́, і нехай до землі він потопче життя моє, — і хай мою славу обе́рне на порох! Се́ла.
Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.
Устань же, о Господи, в гніві Своїм, понеси́ся на лютість моїх ворогів, і до мене скеру́й постанову Свою, яку Ти заповів!
So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.
І громада народів ото́чить Тебе, і над нею верни́ся на висоту́!
The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.
Господь судить людей, — суди ж мене, Господи, за моєю правото́ю й за моєю неви́нністю.
Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.
Нехай зло́ба безбожних скінчи́ться, а Ти зміцни праведного, бо виві́дуєш Ти серця й нирки, о праведний Боже!
My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.
Щит мій у Бозі, Який чистих серцем спасає.
God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
Бог Суддя справедливий, і щоденно на злого Бог гнівається,
If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.
коли хто не наве́рнеться, — буде гострити меча Свого Він, Свого лука натя́гне й наста́вить його,
He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.
і йому пригото́вив смертельні знаря́ддя, — Він зробить огнистими стріли Свої.
Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
Ото, беззако́ння зачне нечестивий, і завагітні́є безправ'ям, — і породить неправду.
He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.
Він рова копав, і його викопав, і впав сам до ями, яку пригото́вив, —
His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.
