Israel's Only Savior
But now thus saith Jehovah, that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee, I have called [thee] by thy name; thou art mine.

Коли перехо́дитимеш через во́ди, Я буду з тобою, а через річки́ — не зато́плять тебе, коли будеш огонь перехо́дити, — не попече́шся, і не буде пали́ти тебе його по́лум'я.
When thou passest through the waters, I [will be] with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee; when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
Бо Я — Господь, Бог твій, Святий Ізраїлів, твій Спаси́тель! Дав Я на ви́куп за тебе Єгипта, Етіопію й Севу замість те́бе.
For I [am] Jehovah thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
Через те, що ти став дороги́й в Моїх о́чах, шано́ваний став, й Я тебе покоха́в, то людей замість тебе відда́м, а наро́ди — за душу твою.
Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee; and I will give men for thee, and peoples for thy life.
Не бійся, бо Я ж із тобою! Зо сходу згрома́джу насі́ння твоє, і з заходу тебе позбира́ю.
Fear not, for I [am] with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west;
Скажу пі́вночі: Дай, а до пі́вдня: Не стри́муй! Поприводь ти синів моїх зда́лека, а до́чки мої — від окра́їн землі,
I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Keep not back: bring my sons from afar, and my daughters from the end of the earth,
і кожного, хто тільки зветься Іме́нням Моїм, і кого Я на славу Свою був створи́в, кого вформува́в та кого Я вчини́в.
every one that is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory: I have formed him, yea, I have made him.
Приведи ти наро́да сліпого, хоч очі він має, і глухих, хоч ву́ха в них є!
Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.
Нехай ра́зом зберуться всі лю́ди і наро́ди згрома́дяться: хто́ поміж ними розка́же про це, і хто розпові́сть про минуле? Нехай дадуть сві́дків своїх — і опра́вдані бу́дуть, і хай вони чують та скажуть: Це правда!
Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the peoples be assembled: who among them declareth this, or causeth us to hear former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified; or let them hear, and say, [It is] truth.
Ви сві́дки Мої, говорить Господь, та раб Мій, якого Я ви́брав, щоб пізнали й Мені ви пові́рили, та зрозумі́ли, що це Я. До Мене не зро́блено Бога, і не буде цього по Мені!
Ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I [am] HE: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
Я, Я Господь, і крім Мене немає Спаси́теля!
I, I [am] Jehovah; and besides me there is no saviour.
Я розказав, і споміг, і звісти́в, і Бога чужого немає між вами, ви ж сві́дки Мої, — говорить Господь, — а Я Бог!
It is I that have declared, and have saved, and have shewed, when there was no strange [god] among you; and ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, that I [am] God.
І Я зда́вна Той Самий, і ніхто не врятує з Моєї руки́,- як що Я вчиню́, то хто це перемі́нить?
Yea, since the day was, I [am] HE, and there is none that delivereth out of my hand: I will work, and who shall hinder it?
Так говорить Господь, ваш Відкупи́тель, Святий Ізраїлів: Ради вас Я послав у Вавилон, і зганя́ю усіх втікачі́в, а халде́їв — кораблі їх уті́хи.
The Destruction of Babylon Foretold
Thus saith Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: For your sake I have sent to Babylon, and have brought all of them down as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, whose cry is in the ships.

Я Господь, ваш Святий, Творе́ць Ізраїля, Цар ваш!
I [am] Jehovah, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.
Так говорить Госпо́дь, що дорогу на морі дає, а сте́жку — в могутній воді,
Thus saith Jehovah, who maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters,
що ви́провадив колесни́цю й коня, ві́йсько та силу, що ра́зом лягли́ і не встали, зотліли, як льон, — та пога́сли.
who bringeth forth chariot and horse, army and power -- they lie down together, they shall not rise; they are extinct, they are quenched as tow:
Не згадуйте вже про минуле, і про давнє не ду́майте!
Deliverance for God's People

Ось зроблю́ Я нове́, тепер ви́росте. Чи ж про це ви не знаєте? Теж зроблю́ Я дорогу в степу́, а в пустині — річки́.
behold, I do a new thing; now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the waste.
Буде сла́вити Мене польова́ звірина́, шака́ли та стру́сі, бо воду Я дам на степу́, а в пустині річки́, щоб напува́ти наро́д Мій, вибра́нця Мого́.
The beast of the field shall glorify me, the jackals and the ostriches; for I will give waters in the wilderness, rivers in the waste, to give drink to my people, my chosen.
Цей наро́д Я Собі вформува́в, — він буде звіщати про славу Мою.
This people have I formed for myself: they shall shew forth my praise.
Та Мене ти не кли́кав, о Якове, не змага́вся за Мене, Ізраїлю.
Israel's Unfaithfulness
-- But thou hast not called upon me, Jacob; for thou hast been weary of me, O Israel:

Ти Мені не приво́див ягня́т цілопа́лень своїх, і своїми жертвами не шанував ти Мене... Я тебе не си́лував, щоб прино́сити жертву хлібну, і кади́лом не мучив тебе.
thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt-offerings, neither hast thou glorified me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to toil with an oblation, nor wearied thee with incense.
Очере́ту запа́шного не купував ти за срі́бло Мені, і не напува́в ти Мене лоєм жертов своїх, — тільки своїми гріхами Мене ти турбува́в та своїми провинами му́чив Мене!
Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices; but thou hast made me to toil with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities.
Я, Я є Той, Хто стира́є провини твої ради Себе, а гріхів твоїх не пам'ята́є!
-- I, I [am] He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and I will not remember thy sins.
Пригадай ти Мені — і суді́мося ра́зом, розкажи́ ти Мені, щоб тобі оправда́тись!
Put me in remembrance, let us plead together; rehearse thine own [cause], that thou mayest be justified.
Твій ба́тько був перший згрішив, і відпа́ли від Мене твої посере́дники,
Thy first father hath sinned, and thy mediators have rebelled against me.
