    І було мені слово Господнє таке:

    Irresponsible Shepherds

    And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

    „Сину лю́дський, пророкуй на Ізраїлевих па́стирів, пророкуй та й скажеш до них, до тих па́стирів: Так говорить Господь Бог: Горе Ізраїлевим па́стирям, які пасу́ть самих себе! Хіба ж не ота́ру повинні па́сти па́стирі?

    “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God to the shepherds: “Woe to the shepherds of Israel who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flocks?

    Жир ви їсте, та вовну вдяга́єте, ситу вівцю ріжете, але отари не пасе́те!

    You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool; you slaughter the fatlings, but you do not feed the flock.

    Слаби́х не зміцняєте, а хворої не лікуєте, і пора́неної не перев'язуєте, споло́шеної не вертаєте, і заги́нулої не шукаєте, але пануєте над ними силою та жорсто́кістю!

    The weak you have not strengthened, nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor brought back what was driven away, nor sought what was lost; but with force and [a]cruelty you have ruled them.

    І порозпоро́шувалися вони з браку па́стиря, і стали за ї́жу для всякої польово́ї звірини́, і порозбіга́лися.

    So they were scattered because there was no shepherd; and they became food for all the beasts of the field when they were scattered.

    Блукає ота́ра Моя по всіх го́рах та по всіх високих згі́р'ях, і по всій широкій землі розпоро́шена ота́ра Моя, і немає ніко́го, хто турбува́вся б про них, і немає ніко́го, хто б їх шукав!

    My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and on every high hill; yes, My flock was scattered over the whole face of the earth, and no one was seeking or searching for them.”

    Тому, па́стирі, послухайте слова Господнього:

    ‘Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord:
  • 8
    Як живий Я, говорить Господь Бог, — за те, що ота́ра Моя поли́шена на здо́бич, і стала ота́ра Моя за їжу для всякої польово́ї звірини́ через брак па́стиря, і па́стирі Мої не шукають Моєї отари, а себе самих пасу́ть па́стирі Мої, а отари Моєї не пасу́ть,

    “As I live,” says the Lord God, “surely because My flock became a prey, and My flock became food for every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, nor did My shepherds search for My flock, but the shepherds fed themselves and did not feed My flock” —

    тому́, па́стирі, послухайте слова Господнього:

    therefore, O shepherds, hear the word of the Lord!

    Так говорить Господь Бог: Ось Я на тих па́стирів, і зажадаю з їхньої руки отари Моєї, і відірву́ їх від пасі́ння отари, і ті па́стирі не будуть уже па́сти сами́х себе, й Я врятую Свою отару з їхніх уст, і вони не будуть їм за ї́жу.

    Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will require My flock at their hand; I will cause them to cease feeding the sheep, and the shepherds shall feed themselves no more; for I will deliver My flock from their mouths, that they may no longer be food for them.”

    Бо так Господь Бог промовляє: Ось Я Сам, і зажадаю отару Мою, і перегля́ну їх.

    God, the True Shepherd

    ‘For thus says the Lord God: “Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out.
  • 12
    Як пастух перегляда́є своє ста́до того дня, коли він серед своєї розпоро́шеної отари, так Я перегля́ну отару Свою, і вирятую їх зо всіх тих місць, куди вони були розпоро́шені за хма́рного та імли́стого дня.

    As a shepherd seeks out his flock on the day he is among his scattered sheep, so will I seek out My sheep and deliver them from all the places where they were scattered on a cloudy and dark day.

    І ви́проваджу їх від народів, і позбираю їх із країв, і приведу́ їх до їхньої землі, і бу́ду їх па́сти на Ізраїлевих гора́х, при рі́чищах та по всіх осе́лях кра́ю.

    And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land; I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, [b]in the valleys and in all the inhabited places of the country.

    На пасови́щі доброму па́стиму їх, і на високих Ізраїлевих гора́х буде їхній ви́пас, — там вони будуть лежати на ви́пасі доброму, і випаса́тимуть сите пасови́ще на Ізраїлевих гора́х!

    I will feed them in good pasture, and their fold shall be on the high mountains of Israel. There they shall lie down in a good fold and feed in rich pasture on the mountains of Israel.

    Я буду па́сти отару Свою, і Я їх покладу́ на спочи́нок, говорить Господь Бог.
  • 15
    I will feed My flock, and I will make them lie down,” says the Lord God.
  • 16
    Загинулу вівцю́ відшукаю, а споло́шену поверну́, а пора́нену перев'яжу́, а хвору зміцню́, а ситу та сильну погублю́, — буду па́сти її правосуддям!
  • 16
    “I will seek what was lost and bring back what was driven away, bind up the broken and strengthen what was sick; but I will destroy the fat and the strong, and feed them in judgment.”

    А ви, ота́ро Моя, так говорить Господь Бог: Ось Я бу́ду судити між вівце́ю й вівцею, між барано́м і козла́ми.

    ‘And as for you, O My flock, thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I shall judge between sheep and sheep, between rams and goats.
  • 18
    Чи мало вам того, що ви спа́суєте хороше пасови́ще, а решту ваших пасови́щ ви то́пчете своїми ногами? І воду чисту ви п'єте́, а позосталу ногами своїми каламу́тите?

    Is it too little for you to have eaten up the good pasture, that you must tread down with your feet the [c]residue of your pasture — and to have drunk of the clear waters, that you must foul the residue with your feet?
  • 19
    І отара Моя мусить випаса́ти пото́птане вашими нога́ми, і пити скаламу́чене вашими ногами!

    And as for My flock, they eat what you have trampled with your feet, and they drink what you have fouled with your feet.”
  • 20
    Тому так Господь Бог промовляє до них: Ось Я Сам і розсуджу́ між вівце́ю ситою й між вівцею худою.

    ‘Therefore thus says the Lord God to them: “Behold, I Myself will judge between the fat and the lean sheep.

    За те, що ви бо́ком і раме́ном попиха́єте, і рога́ми вашими ко́лете всіх слаби́х, аж поки не порозпоро́шуєте їх геть,
  • 21
    Because you have pushed with side and shoulder, butted all the weak ones with your horns, and scattered them abroad,
  • 22
    то Я спасу́ отару Свою, і вона не буде вже за здо́бич, і Я розсуджу́ між вівцею та вівцею!

    therefore I will save My flock, and they shall no longer be a prey; and I will judge between sheep and sheep.
  • 23
    І поставлю над ними одно́го па́стиря, і він буде їх па́сти, — раба Мого Давида, він їх буде па́сти, і він їм буде за па́стиря!

    I will establish one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them — My servant David. He shall feed them and be their shepherd.
  • 24
    А Я, Господь, буду їм Богом, а раб Мій Давид — кня́зем серед них. Я, Господь, це сказав!

    And I, the Lord, will be their God, and My servant David a prince among them; I, the Lord, have spoken.
  • 25
    І складу́ Я з ними заповіта миру, і прикінчу́ на землі злу звірину́, і вони пробува́тимуть в пустині безпечно, і будуть спати по ліса́х.
  • 25
    “I will make a covenant of peace with them, and cause wild beasts to cease from the land; and they will dwell safely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods.

    І вчиню́ їх та довкі́лля Мого взгір'я благослове́нням, і спущу́ дощ в його ча́сі, — будуть це дощі благослове́нні.

    I will make them and the places all around My hill a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing.
  • 27
    І польове́ де́рево видасть свій плід, а земля видасть свій урожай, і будуть вони безпечні на своїй землі, і пізнають, що Я — Господь, коли зламаю зано́зи їхнього ярма́, і врятую їх від руки тих, хто їх понево́лив.

    Then the trees of the field shall yield their fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase. They shall be safe in their land; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I have broken the bands of their yoke and delivered them from the hand of those who enslaved them.

    І не бу́дуть уже вони за здо́бич для наро́дів, і звірина́ зе́мна не же́ртиме їх, і бу́дуть вони сидіти безпе́чно, і не буде ніко́го, хто б їх настраши́в.

    And they shall no longer be a prey for the nations, nor shall beasts of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and no one shall make them afraid.

    І ви́кохаю їм саджанця́ на славу, і не будуть вони вже за́брані голодом із землі, і не понесу́ть уже га́ньби наро́дів.

    I will raise up for them a garden[d] of renown, and they shall no longer be consumed with hunger in the land, nor bear the shame of the Gentiles anymore.
  • 30
    І пізнають вони, що Я — Госпо́дь, Бог їхній, з ними, а вони — наро́д Мій, дім Ізраїлів, говорить Господь Бог.
  • 30
    Thus they shall know that I, the Lord their God, am with them, and they, the house of Israel, are My people,” says the Lord God.’

    А ви — ота́ра Моя, отара Мого пасови́ська, ви — лю́ди, а Я — Бог ваш, говорить Господь Бог“.

    “You are My flock, the flock of My pasture; you are men, and I am your God,” says the Lord God.
