А я відказав: Послухайте ж, го́лови Якова та начальники дому Ізраїля, — чи ж не ва́м знати право?
Rulers and Prophets Condemned
And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment?
And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment?
Добро ви нена́видите та кохаєте зло, шкіру їхню здираєте з них, а їхнє тіло — з косте́й їхніх.
Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;
Ви оста́нок наро́ду Мого їсте та стягаєте з них їхню шкіру, а їхні кості ламаєте, і січе́те, немов до горня́ти, і мов м'ясо в котел.
Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.
Вони тоді кли́кати будуть до Господа, та Він відповіді їм не дасть, і заховає обличчя Своє того ча́су від них, коли будуть робити лихі свої вчинки.
Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.
Так говорить Госпо́дь на пророків, що вводять наро́д Мій у блуд, що зубами своїми гризу́ть та покли́кують: „Мир!“ А на то́го, хто їм не дає що до рота, на ньо́го святую війну оголо́шують.
Thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him.
Тому буде вам ніч, щоб не стало видіння, і сте́мніє вам, щоб не чарува́ти. І над тими пророками сонце зако́титься, і над ними поте́мніє день.
Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.
І посоро́млені будуть такі прозорли́вці, і будуть засти́джені чарівники́, і всі вони свої у́ста закриють, бо не буде їм Божої відповіді.
Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.
А я́ повний сили й Госпо́днього Духа, і правди й відваги, щоб представити Якову про́гріх його, а Ізраїлеві — його гріх.
But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.
Почуйте ж це, го́лови дому Якового та начальники дому Ізраїля, які не́хтують справедливість, а все про́сте викри́влюють,
Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.
вони кров'ю будують Сіо́на, а кривдою — Єрусали́ма.
They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.
Його го́лови судять за хабара́, і навчають за плату його ті священики, і за срі́бло воро́жать пророки його́, хоч на Господа вони опира́ються, кажучи: „Хіба не Господь серед нас? Зло не при́йде на нас!“
The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.
