та й сказав їм: „Я сьогодні віку ста й двадцяти́ літ. Не можу вже вихо́дити та вхо́дити, і Господь сказав мені: Не пере́йдеш ти цього Йорда́ну.
And he said to them, “I am 120 years old today. I am no longer able to go out and come in. The Lord has said to me, ‘You shall not go over this Jordan.’
Господь, Бог твій, — Він пі́де перед тобою, Він вигубить ці народи перед тобою, і ти заволодієш ними. Ісус пере́йде перед тобою, як говорив був Господь.
The Lord your God himself will go over before you. He will destroy these nations before you, so that you shall dispossess them, and Joshua will go over at your head, as the Lord has spoken.
І зробить їм Господь, як зробив був Сигонові та Оґові, аморейським царям та їхньому кра́єві, яких вигубив Він.
And the Lord will do to them as he did to Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites, and to their land, when he destroyed them.
І дасть їх Господь перед вас, а ви зробите їм згідно з усією за́повіддю, що я вам наказав був.
And the Lord will give them over to you, and you shall do to them according to the whole commandment that I have commanded you.
Будьте сильні та відважні, не бі́йтеся, не лякайтеся перед ними, бо Господь, Бог твій, Він Той, хто ходить з тобою, — не опу́стить Він тебе й не покине тебе“.
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
І покликав Мойсей Ісуса, та й до нього сказав на оча́х усього Ізраїля: „Будь сильний та відважний, бо ти вві́йдеш з цим наро́дом до того кра́ю, якого Господь заприсягну́в їхнім батькам, щоб їм дати, і ти даси їм його на спа́док.
Then Moses summoned Joshua and said to him in the sight of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you shall go with this people into the land that the Lord has sworn to their fathers to give them, and you shall put them in possession of it.
А Господь, Він Той, що пі́де перед тобою, — не опустить тебе й не покине тебе, — не бійся й не лякайся“.
It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
І написав Мойсей цього Зако́на, та й дав його до священиків, Левієвих синів, що носять ковче́га Господнього заповіту, та до всіх Ізраїлевих старши́х.

І наказав їм Мойсей, говорячи: „У кінці́ семи літ, окре́сленого ча́су року відпу́щення, у свято Кучок,
And Moses commanded them, “At the end of every seven years, at the set time in the year of release, at the Feast of Booths,
коли при́йде ввесь Ізраїль з'явитися перед лицем Господа, Бога свого, у місці, яке вибере Він, будеш читати цього Зако́на перед усім Ізраїлем до їхніх ушей.
when all Israel comes to appear before the Lord your God at the place that he will choose, you shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing.
Збери той народ, — чоловіків, і жінок, і дітей, і прихо́дька свого, що в твоїх брамах, щоб вони чули й щоб навчалися, і боялися Господа, Бога вашого, і доде́ржували виконувати всі слова цього Зако́ну.
Assemble the people, men, women, and little ones, and the sojourner within your towns, that they may hear and learn to fear the Lord your God, and be careful to do all the words of this law,
А їхні сини, що не знали, будуть чути та навчатися боятися Господа, Бога вашого, по всі дні, що ви жи́тимете на цій землі, куди ви перехо́дите Йорда́н, щоб посісти її“.
and that their children, who have not known it, may hear and learn to fear the Lord your God, as long as you live in the land that you are going over the Jordan to possess.”
І сказав Господь до Мойсея: „Оце набли́зилися дні твої до смерти. Поклич Ісуса, і станьте в скинії заповіту, а Я йому накажу́“. І пішов Мойсей та Ісус, і стали в скинії заповіту.

And the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, the days approach when you must die. Call Joshua and present yourselves in the tent of meeting, that I may commission him.” And Moses and Joshua went and presented themselves in the tent of meeting.

І появився Господь у скинії в стовпі хмари, і став той стовп хмари біля скинійного входу.
And the Lord appeared in the tent in a pillar of cloud. And the pillar of cloud stood over the entrance of the tent.
І сказав Господь до Мойсея: „Ось ти спочинеш з батьками своїми, а цей наро́д устане та й буде блудодіяти з богами того чужого Кра́ю, куди він увіхо́дить, щоб бути в сере́дині його, і покине Мене, і зламає заповіта Мого, що склав був Я з ним.
And the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, you are about to lie down with your fathers. Then this people will rise and whore after the foreign gods among them in the land that they are entering, and they will forsake me and break my covenant that I have made with them.
І того дня запа́литься Мій гнів на нього, і Я покину їх, і сховаю Своє лице від них, а він буде знищений, і зна́йдуть його числе́нні нещастя та у́тиски. І скаже він того дня: „Хіба не через те, що нема в мене мого Бога, знайшли мене ці нещастя?“
Then my anger will be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them and hide my face from them, and they will be devoured. And many evils and troubles will come upon them, so that they will say in that day, ‘Have not these evils come upon us because our God is not among us?’
А Я того дня конче сховаю лице Своє через усе те зло, що зробив він, бо зверну́вся до інших богів.
And I will surely hide my face in that day because of all the evil that they have done, because they have turned to other gods.
А тепер запишіть собі оцю пісню, і навчи її Ізраїлевих синів. Вклади її в їхні уста, щоб була мені ця пісня за свідка на Ізраїлевих синів.
“Now therefore write this song and teach it to the people of Israel. Put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the people of Israel.
Коли Я введу́ його до тієї землі, яку присягнув його батька́м, що тече молоком та медом, і він буде їсти й наси́титься, і потовстіє, і звернеться до інших богів, і будуть служити їм, а Мене кинуть з обра́зою, і зламає він заповіта Мого,
For when I have brought them into the land flowing with milk and honey, which I swore to give to their fathers, and they have eaten and are full and grown fat, they will turn to other gods and serve them, and despise me and break my covenant.
то станеться, коли зна́йдуть його численні нещастя та утиски, що пісня ця стане проти нього за свідка, бо вона не забу́деться з уст насіння його. Бо Я знаю наставлення серця його, що він чинить сьогодні, перше ніж введу його до того кра́ю, що Я присягнув“.
And when many evils and troubles have come upon them, this song shall confront them as a witness (for it will live unforgotten in the mouths of their offspring). For I know what they are inclined to do even today, before I have brought them into the land that I swore to give.”
І написав Мойсей ту пісню того дня, і навчив її Ізраїлевих синів.
So Moses wrote this song the same day and taught it to the people of Israel.
І наказав він Ісусові, Нави́новому синові, та й сказав: „Будь сильний та відважний, бо ти впрова́диш Ізраїлевих синів до того кра́ю, що Я присягнув їм, а Я буду з тобою“.
І сталося, як Мойсей скінчи́в писати слова цього Зако́ну до книги аж до кінця їх,
When Moses had finished writing the words of this law in a book to the very end,
то Мойсей наказав Леви́там, що носять ковче́га Господнього заповіту, говорячи:
Moses commanded the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord,
„Візьміть книгу цього Зако́ну, і покладіть її збоку ковче́га заповіту Господа, Бога вашого, і вона буде там на тебе за свідка.
“Take this Book of the Law and put it by the side of the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there for a witness against you.
Бо я знаю неслухня́ність твою та тверду́ твою шию. Бо ще сьогодні, коли я живу з вами, ви були́ неслухня́ні Господе́ві, а тим більш будете по смерті моїй!
For I know how rebellious and stubborn you are. Behold, even today while I am yet alive with you, you have been rebellious against the Lord. How much more after my death!
Зберіть до мене всіх старши́х ваших племе́н та урядників ваших, а я буду промовляти до їхніх ушей ці слова́, і покличу небо й землю на сві́дчення проти них.
Assemble to me all the elders of your tribes and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears and call heaven and earth to witness against them.
Бо я знаю, що по смерті моїй, псуючися, зіпсуєтеся ви, і відхилитесь з тієї дороги, яку я наказав вам, і в кінці днів спітка́є вас нещастя, коли будете робити зло в Господніх оча́х, щоб гніви́ти Його чином своїх рук“.
For I know that after my death you will surely act corruptly and turn aside from the way that I have commanded you. And in the days to come evil will befall you, because you will do what is evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger through the work of your hands.”
