    Після цього почув я звук гучний, що лунав з Небес, немов численний натовп. І люди ті співали:
    «Алілуя [32]! Перемога, Слава і сила належать нашому Богу,

    Rejoicing in Heaven

    After this I heard what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out,
    “Hallelujah!
    Salvation and glory and power belong to our God,

    бо суд Його — праведний і справедливий. Він засудив розпусницю велику, котра розпустою своєю поганила світ. Бог помстився за смерть слуг Своїх, яких вбила вона».

    for his judgments are true and just;
    for he has judged the great prostitute
    who corrupted the earth with her immorality,
    and has avenged on her the blood of his servants.”

    І далі співали вони:
    «Алілуя! Дим вогню, що спалює її, куритиметься вічно».

    Once more they cried out,
    “Hallelujah!
    The smoke from her goes up forever and ever.”

    Тоді двадцять чотири старійшини і чотири живі істоти вклонилися й почали прославляти Бога, Який сидів на престолі. Вони казали:
    «Амінь! Алілуя!»

    And the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who was seated on the throne, saying, “Amen. Hallelujah!”

    Потім з престолу долинув голос, який казав:
    «Славте Бога нашого, всі, хто служить Йому! Славте Бога нашого, великі й малі й усі, хто шанує Його!»

    And from the throne came a voice saying,
    “Praise our God,
    all you his servants,
    you who fear him,
    small and great.”

    Тоді почув я голос немовби численної громади. Він нагадував шум могутнього водоспаду або сильний гуркоту грому. Ті люди співали:
    «Алілуя! Господь, наш Всемогутній Бог царює.

    The Marriage Supper of the Lamb

    Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out,
    “Hallelujah!
    For the Lord our God
    the Almighty reigns.

    Радіймо і пишаймося, і прославляймо Бога, бо час настав — весільний час Ягняти. І Його наречена [33] вже для Нього приготувалася.

    Let us rejoice and exult
    and give him the glory,
    for the marriage of the Lamb has come,
    and his Bride has made herself ready;
  • 8
    Їй дозволили вбратися у шати з чистого й сяйливого полотна».
    (Полотно — то праведні вчинки святих людей Божих).

    it was granted her to clothe herself
    with fine linen, bright and pure” —
    for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.

    І сказав мені Ангел: «Запиши: Щасливі ті, кого запрошено на це весільне свято Ягняти». А потім додав: «Це істинні слова Бога».

    And the angel saida to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.”

    Тоді я впав до ніг його, щоб поклонитися йому, але він сказав: «Не роби цього! Я такий же слуга, як ти, й брати і сестри твої, хто має істинне свідчення Ісуса. Вклоняйтеся Богу! Бо свідчення Ісуса — то дух пророцтва».

    Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

    Тоді побачив я, як розкрилися Небеса і з’явився переді мною білий кінь, а на ньому Вершник, ім’я Якому Вірний та Істинний, бо справедливий Він, коли судить і коли воює.

    The Rider on a White Horse

    Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war.

    Очі Його були немов палаюче багаття, а на голові багато вінців. Й імені, що написане на Ньому, не знає ніхто, крім Нього Самого.

    His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself.

    Вбраний Він був в одяг, просякнутий кров’ю. Ім’ям Його називали таким: «Слово Боже».

    He is clothed in a robe dipped inb blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God.
  • 14
    Війська Небесні, вбрані в чистий, білий й лляний одяг, їхали слідом за Ним на білих конях.

    And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses.
  • 15
    Гострий меч був в устах Його, щоб бити поган. Він буде правити ними залізним жезлом, і почавить виноград в чавилі страшного гніву Всемогутнього Бога.

    From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rulec them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty.

    На вбранні Його і на стегні було написане ім’я:
    «ЦАР ЦАРІВ І ВОЛОДАР ВОЛОДАРІВ»

    On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords.

    Тоді побачив я Ангела, який стояв на сонці. Гучним голосом закликав він усіх птахів, що шугали в піднебессі: «Злітайтесь на велике Боже свято,

    Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and with a loud voice he called to all the birds that fly directly overhead, “Come, gather for the great supper of God,
  • 18
    щоб ви могли їсти тіла царів, генералів і славних мужів, й тіла коней і вершників, й тіла всіляких людей: вільних і рабів, великих і малих».

    to eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave,d both small and great.”

    І побачив я звіра і царів світу цього разом з їхніми військами, зібраними на битву проти Вершника на білому коні та Його війська.

    And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth with their armies gathered to make war against him who was sitting on the horse and against his army.

    Але звіра було схоплено разом із лжепророком, який в його присутності творив чудеса. Чудесами він обдурював тих, на кому було те тавро звіра і хто вклонявся його образу.[34] Обох живцем було вкинуто у вогняне сірчане озеро.

    And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presencee had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.

    Решту було вбито мечем, що стримів з уст Вершника на білому коні, а птахи всі вдосталь наїлися їхнього тіла.

    And the rest were slain by the sword that came from the mouth of him who was sitting on the horse, and all the birds were gorged with their flesh.
