Щодо збирання пожертвувань для святих, то робіть так само, як я постановив для галатійських Церков.

The Collection for the Saints

Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.

Першого дня тижня нехай кожний із вас відкладає в себе, зберігаючи те, що може дати, аби не збирати тоді, коли прийду.

Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

Коли ж прийду, то пошлю з листом тих, кому довірите віднести ваш дар у Єрусалим.

And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.

Якщо ж потрібно буде і мені йти, то вони підуть зі мною.

And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.

Прийду до вас, як перейду Македонію, бо проходжу через Македонію.

Paul's Plans for Travel

Now I will come unto you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia.

У вас же, коли буде можливо, я залишуся, а то й перезимую, щоб ви мене провели, куди піду.

And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go.

Тепер же не хочу бачитися з вами мимохідь, бо маю надію, якщо Господь дозволить, якийсь час перебути між вами.

For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit.

В Ефесі ж пробуду до П’ятидесятниці,

But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.

бо переді мною відкрилися великі й широкі двері, та противників багато.

For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.

Коли ж прийде Тимофій, подбайте, щоб він у вас почувався безпечно, бо він, як і я, робить Господнє діло.

Timothy Commended

Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do.

Хай ніхто не погордує ним, але відпровадьте його з миром, щоби прийшов до мене, оскільки я з братами очікую його.

Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren.

Щодо брата Аполлоса, то я дуже просив його, щоби з братами прийшов до вас, але він не виявив бажання прийти тепер; прийде, коли матиме нагоду.

As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.

Пильнуйте, стійте у вірі, будьте мужніми та сильними!

Concluding Exhortations

Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

Усе між вами нехай робиться з любов’ю.

Let all your things be done with charity.

Прошу вас, брати: ви знаєте дім Степана, оскільки він є початком в Ахаї, — вони віддали себе на служіння святим, —

I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)

і ви підкоряйтеся таким, — як і кожному, хто співслужить і трудиться.

That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.

Радію я з приходу Степана, Фортуната і Ахаїка, бо вони заповнили вашу відсутність,

I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied.

і мій і ваш дух заспокоїли. Шануйте таких.

For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.

Вітають вас Церкви Азії. Щиро вітають вас у Господі Акила й Прискила з їхньою домашньою Церквою.

Paul's Final Greetings

The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.

All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss.

If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
