1 Corinthians 2

І я, брати, коли прийшов до вас, не прийшов звіщати вам Божу таємницю вишуканими словами й мудрістю,

Christ Crucified

And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the [a]testimony of God.

бо я вважав за правильне не знати серед вас нічого, крім Ісуса Христа, і то розп’ятого.

For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

Тож перебував я серед вас у немочі, у страху і у великому трепеті;

I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.

і моє слово, і моя проповідь — не в переконливих словах мудрості, але в проявах Духа та сили,

And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of [b]human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,

щоб ваша віра була не через людську мудрість, а через Божу силу.

that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.

Ми говоримо про мудрість досконалих, а не про мудрість цього віку чи правителів цього віку, які минають.

Spiritual Wisdom

However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.

Але ми говоримо про Божу премудрість, заховану в таємниці, яку відкрив Бог перед віками для нашої слави;

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God [c]ordained before the ages for our glory,

її ніхто з правителів цього віку не пізнав, бо коли б пізнали, то не розіп’яли би Господа слави.

which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

Але, як написано: Чого око не бачило й вухо не чуло і що на серце людині не приходило, — те приготував Бог тим, які люблять Його!

But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Нам це Бог відкрив через [Свого] Духа, бо Дух досліджує все, навіть глибини Божі.

But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

Бо хто з людей знає те, що є в людині, крім духа людини, який живе в ній? Так само й Божого ніхто не пізнав, хіба тільки Дух Божий.

For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.

Ми ж одержали не духа світу, але Духа, Який від Бога, щоби знати те, що дароване нам Богом;

Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.

про що й говоримо не вченими словами людської мудрості, але навченими [Святим] Духом, порівнюючи духовне з Духовним.

These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the [d]Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Адже душевна людина не приймає того, що від Божого Духа, бо для неї це безумство й вона не може цього зрозуміти, тому що це досліджується духовно.

But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Духовна ж людина про все це судить, а її саму ніхто не судить.

But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one.

Бо хто пізнав розум Господа, хто повчатиме Його? Ми ж маємо розум Христа!

For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
