Христос визволив нас для свободи, тож стійте в ній і не впрягайтеся знову в ярмо рабства.

Christ Has Set Us Free

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

Ось я, Павло, кажу вам: коли обрізуєтеся, Христос вам нічим не допоможе.

Look: I, Paul, say to you that if you accept circumcision, Christ will be of no advantage to you.

Свідчу також кожному чоловікові, який обрізується, що він є боржником щодо виконання всього Закону.

I testify again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is obligated to keep the whole law.

Ви, які оправдуєтеся Законом, залишилися без Христа, відпали ви від благодаті!

You are severed from Christ, you who would be justifieda by the law; you have fallen away from grace.

Ми ж духом очікуємо надію праведності з віри.

For through the Spirit, by faith, we ourselves eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness.

Бо в Христі Ісусі ані обрізання, ані необрізання не мають сили, а тільки віра, яка проявляється через любов.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love.

Бігли ви добре; хто перешкодив вам коритися істині?

You were running well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth?

Таке переконання не від Того, Хто вас покликав.

This persuasion is not from him who calls you.

Трохи закваски заквашує все тісто.

A little leaven leavens the whole lump.

Я впевнений щодо вас у Господі, що ви не будете думати інакше. Той, хто підбурює вас, зазнає осуду, ким би він не був.

I have confidence in the Lord that you will take no other view, and the one who is troubling you will bear the penalty, whoever he is.

But if I, brothers,b still preachc circumcision, why am I still being persecuted? In that case the offense of the cross has been removed.

I wish those who unsettle you would emasculate themselves!

Адже ви, брати, покликані до свободи. Тільки б свобода ваша не стала причиною жити по-тілесному, але любов’ю служіть один одному,

For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

бо весь Закон міститься в одному виразі, а саме: Люби свого ближнього, як себе самого.

For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Коли ж ви один одного кусаєте та гризете, то глядіть, щоб ви не знищили один одного.

But if you bite and devour one another, watch out that you are not consumed by one another.

Кажу: живіть духом, і не чинитимете пожадань тіла.

Keep in Step with the Spirit

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.

Бо тіло бажає протилежного духові, а дух — протилежного тілу: вони протидіють одне одному, щоб ви не чинили того, чого бажаєте.

For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.

Коли ж вас веде Дух, то ви не під Законом.

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

Учинки тіла очевидні, а саме: [перелюб], розпуста, нечистота, безсоромність,

Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,

ідолослужіння, чародійство, ворожнеча, сварки, заздрощі, гнів, суперечки, розділення, єресі,

idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions,

злоба, пияцтво, гульня і тому подібне. Попереджаю вас, як і раніше попереджав: хто таке робить, Божого Царства не успадкує!

envy,d drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who doe such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Плід же Духа — любов, радість, мир, довготерпіння, ласкавість, доброта, віра,

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

лагідність, стриманість. На таких немає Закону!

gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

А ті, хто є Ісуса Христа, вони розіп’яли своє тіло з його пристрастями та пожадливостями.

And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Коли живемо духом, то духом і ходімо.

If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.

Не ставаймо марнославними, не дратуймо одне одного, не заздрім одне одному!

Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.
