These, registered by name, came in the days of Hezekiah, king of Judah, and destroyed their tents and the Meunites who were found there, and marked them for destruction to this day, and settled in their place, because there was pasture there for their flocks.

Doch während Hiskia König von Juda war, überfielen jene Sippen die Hamiten und auch die Mëuniter, auf die sie dort stießen. Sie rissen ihre Zelte nieder und töteten alle Menschen. Kein Einziger überlebte. Dann siedelten sie sich dort an, denn nun hatten sie genügend Weideland für ihr Vieh. Noch heute wohnen sie in dieser Gegend.

So kamen diese mit Namen Aufgezeichneten in den Tagen des Königs Hiskija von Juda, machten einen Anschlag auf ihre Zelte und auf die Mëuniter, die sich dort fanden, und blieben bis zum heutigen Tag. Sie vollzogen an ihnen den Bann und ließen sich an ihrer Stelle nieder; denn es gab dort Weideplätze für ihre Schafe und Ziegen.
