The Lord Proclaims Judgment
Therefore thus says the Lord, the God of hosts:
“Because you have spoken this word,
behold, I am making my words in your mouth a fire,
and this people wood, and the fire shall consume them.

Judgment Proclaimed
Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them. -

Doch der HERR, der allmächtige Gott, hat zu mir gesagt: »Weil dieses Volk so vermessen redet, lasse ich die Worte, die ich dir in den Mund gelegt habe, zu einem Feuersturm werden. Das Volk mache ich zu Brennholz, das vom Feuer verzehrt wird.

Darum — so spricht der HERR, der Gott der Heerscharen: Weil ihr dieses Wort sagt: Siehe, darum mache ich meine Worte in deinem Mund zu Feuersglut und dieses Volk da zum Brennholz, das von ihr verzehrt wird.
