Der König von Babel ließ sie in Ribla in der Landschaft Hamat erschlagen und töten. So führte er Juda von seinem Ackerboden weg in die Verbannung.

Und der König zu Babel schlug sie tot zu Ribla, das im Lande Hamath liegt. Also ward Juda aus seinem Lande weggeführt.

Dort ließ Nebukadnezar sie allesamt hinrichten. Die Bevölkerung von Juda musste ihre Heimat verlassen und in die Gefangenschaft ziehen.
