Menschensohn, richte dein Gesicht gegen die Ammoniter, sprich als Prophet über sie
“Son of man, set your face against the Ammonites and prophesy against them.
und sag zu den Ammonitern: Hört das Wort GOTTES, des Herrn: So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Weil du gegen mein Heiligtum Ha! gesprochen hast, dass es entweiht wurde, und gegen den Ackerboden Israel, dass er verwüstet wurde, und gegen das Haus Juda, dass es verschleppt wurde,
Say to them, ‘Hear the word of the Sovereign Lord. This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because you said “Aha!” over my sanctuary when it was desecrated and over the land of Israel when it was laid waste and over the people of Judah when they went into exile,
darum, siehe, gebe ich dich den Söhnen des Ostens zum Besitz. Sie werden ihre Zelte bei dir aufschlagen und ihre Siedlungen bei dir errichten. Sie sind es, die deine Früchte essen, und sie sind es, die deine Milch trinken werden.
therefore I am going to give you to the people of the East as a possession. They will set up their camps and pitch their tents among you; they will eat your fruit and drink your milk.
Rabba mache ich zum Weideplatz für Kamele und die Ammoniter zum Lager für Schafe. Dann werdet ihr erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.
I will turn Rabbah into a pasture for camels and Ammon into a resting place for sheep. Then you will know that I am the Lord.
Denn so spricht GOTT, der Herr: Weil du in die Hände geklatscht und mit dem Fuß gestampft hast, voll höhnischer Schadenfreude über den Ackerboden Israels,
For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: Because you have clapped your hands and stamped your feet, rejoicing with all the malice of your heart against the land of Israel,
darum, siehe, strecke ich meine Hand gegen dich aus, ich überlasse dich den Völkern zur Plünderung, ich rotte dich aus unter den Nationen und sorge dafür, dass du aus der Zahl der Länder verschwindest; ich vernichte dich. Dann wirst du erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.
therefore I will stretch out my hand against you and give you as plunder to the nations. I will wipe you out from among the nations and exterminate you from the countries. I will destroy you, and you will know that I am the Lord.’ ”
So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Weil Moab und Seïr sagen: Siehe, dem Haus Juda geht es wie allen Völkern!,
A Prophecy Against Moab
“This is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘Because Moab and Seir said, “Look, Judah has become like all the other nations,”
“This is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘Because Moab and Seir said, “Look, Judah has become like all the other nations,”
darum, siehe, will ich die Flanke Moabs öffnen, sodass es bei ihm keine Stadt mehr gibt von einem Ende zum andern, nicht mehr Bet-Jeschimot, Baal-Meon und Kirjatajim, die Zierde des Landes.
therefore I will expose the flank of Moab, beginning at its frontier towns — Beth Jeshimoth, Baal Meon and Kiriathaim — the glory of that land.
Zusammen mit den Ammonitern gebe ich es den Söhnen des Ostens zum Besitz, sodass die Ammoniter unter den Nationen nicht mehr erwähnt werden
I will give Moab along with the Ammonites to the people of the East as a possession, so that the Ammonites will not be remembered among the nations;
und ich an Moab das Urteil vollstrecke. Dann werden sie erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.
and I will inflict punishment on Moab. Then they will know that I am the Lord.’ ”
So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Weil Edom sich am Haus Juda gerächt hat, weil es Schuld auf sich geladen und Rache an ihm genommen hat,
A Prophecy Against Edom
“This is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘Because Edom took revenge on Judah and became very guilty by doing so,
“This is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘Because Edom took revenge on Judah and became very guilty by doing so,
darum — so spricht GOTT, der Herr: Ich strecke meine Hand gegen Edom aus, ich vernichte darin Mensch und Tier und ich mache es zur Wüste von Teman aus und bis Dedan sollen sie unter dem Schwert fallen.
therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I will stretch out my hand against Edom and kill both man and beast. I will lay it waste, and from Teman to Dedan they will fall by the sword.
Ich lege meine Rache an Edom in die Hand meines Volkes Israel. Sie werden an Edom meinem Zorn und meinem Grimm entsprechend handeln. Dann werden sie meine Rache kennenlernen — Spruch GOTTES, des Herrn.
I will take vengeance on Edom by the hand of my people Israel, and they will deal with Edom in accordance with my anger and my wrath; they will know my vengeance, declares the Sovereign Lord.’ ”
So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Weil die Philister rachsüchtig gehandelt haben und voll Verachtung Rache nahmen, um aus uralter Feindschaft Vernichtung zu bringen,

“This is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘Because the Philistines acted in vengeance and took revenge with malice in their hearts, and with ancient hostility sought to destroy Judah,
“This is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘Because the Philistines acted in vengeance and took revenge with malice in their hearts, and with ancient hostility sought to destroy Judah,
darum — so spricht GOTT, der Herr: Siehe, ich will jetzt meine Hand gegen die Philister ausstrecken, ich will die Kereter ausrotten und den Rest an der Küste des Meeres vernichten.
therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am about to stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will wipe out the Kerethites and destroy those remaining along the coast.
