Das Wort des HERRN erging an mich:
Prophecy against Mount Seir
Moreover, the word of the LORD came to me saying,
Moreover, the word of the LORD came to me saying,
Menschensohn, richte dein Gesicht auf das Bergland von Seïr, tritt als Prophet gegen es auf
“Son of man, set your face against Mount Seir, and prophesy against it
und sag zu ihm: So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Siehe, ich gehe gegen dich vor, Bergland von Seïr. Ich strecke meine Hand gegen dich aus und mache dich zur Wüste und Öde.
and say to it, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD,
“Behold, I am against you, Mount Seir,
And I will stretch out My hand against you
And make you a desolation and a waste.
“Behold, I am against you, Mount Seir,
And I will stretch out My hand against you
And make you a desolation and a waste.
Deine Städte lege ich in Trümmer und du sollst zur Wüste werden. Dann wirst du erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.
“I will lay waste your cities
And you will become a desolation.
Then you will know that I am the LORD.
And you will become a desolation.
Then you will know that I am the LORD.
Weil du eine ewige Feindschaft hattest und die Söhne Israels zur Zeit ihres Unglücks, zur Zeit der endgültigen Abrechnung, der Gewalt des Schwertes ausgeliefert hast,
“Because you have had everlasting enmity and have delivered the sons of Israel to the power of the sword at the time of their calamity, at the time of the punishment of the end,
darum — so wahr ich lebe, Spruch GOTTES, des Herrn — mache ich dich zu Blut und Blut soll dich verfolgen. Wahrhaftig, du hast Blut gehasst; darum soll Blut dich verfolgen.
therefore as I live,” declares the Lord GOD, “I will give you over to bloodshed, and bloodshed will pursue you; since you have not hated bloodshed, therefore bloodshed will pursue you.
Ich mache das Bergland von Seïr zu Ödland und Wüste und merze aus ihm aus, was hin- und herzieht.
“I will make Mount Seir a waste and a desolation and I will cut off from it the one who passes through and returns.
Ich fülle seine Berghänge mit seinen Erschlagenen; auf deinen Hügeln, in deinen Tälern und all deinen Schluchten werden vom Schwert Erschlagene fallen.
“I will fill its mountains with its slain; on your hills and in your valleys and in all your ravines those slain by the sword will fall.
Zum Ödland für immer mache ich dich, deine Städte sollen nicht mehr bewohnt sein. Dann werdet ihr erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.
“I will make you an everlasting desolation and your cities will not be inhabited. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
Weil du sagst: Die beiden Völker und die beiden Länder gehören mir; sie sind mein Besitz!, obwohl doch der HERR dort ist,
“Because you have said, ‘These two nations and these two lands will be mine, and we will possess them,’ although the LORD was there,
darum — so wahr ich lebe, Spruch GOTTES, des Herrn — werde ich deinem Zorn und deiner Leidenschaft entsprechend tun, was du aus deinem Hass heraus unter ihnen getan hast. Ich gebe mich unter ihnen zu erkennen, wenn ich dich richte.
therefore as I live,” declares the Lord GOD, “I will deal with you according to your anger and according to your envy which you showed because of your hatred against them; so I will make Myself known among them when I judge you.
Dann wirst du erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin. Ich habe all dein Schmähen gehört, als du gegen die Berghänge Israels gesprochen hast: Sie sind völlig verödet. Sie sind uns zum Fraß gegeben.
“Then you will know that I, the LORD, have heard all your revilings which you have spoken against the mountains of Israel saying, ‘They are laid desolate; they are given to us for food.’
So habt ihr mit eurem Maul gegen mich groß getan und euer Reden war frech gegen mich; ich habe es selbst gehört.
“And you have spoken arrogantly against Me and have multiplied your words against Me; I have heard it.”
So spricht GOTT, der Herr: Wie doch das ganze Land sich freut, dass ich dich zur Wüste mache:
‘Thus says the Lord GOD, “As all the earth rejoices, I will make you a desolation.
So wie du dich freust am Erbbesitz des Hauses Israel, weil er als Wüste daliegt, so werde ich an dir handeln; das Bergland von Seïr und ganz Edom insgesamt werden zur Wüste werden. Dann werden sie erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin.
“As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel because it was desolate, so I will do to you. You will be a desolation, O Mount Seir, and all Edom, all of it. Then they will know that I am the LORD.”’
