Das sind die Namen der Stämme: Im Norden, entlang dem Weg von Hetlon nach Lebo-Hamat und nach Hazar-Enan — das Gebiet von Damaskus liegt dabei nördlich, seitlich von Hamat — gehört von Osten nach Westen Dan ein Anteil.
Division of the Land
“Now these are the names of the tribes: from the northern extremity, beside the way of Hethlon to Lebo-hamath, as far as Hazar-enan at the border of Damascus, toward the north beside Hamath, running from east to west, Dan, one portion.

Neben dem Gebiet Judas von Osten nach Westen soll das Hebeopfer sein, das ihr entrichten sollt, 25 000 Ellen breit und genauso lang wie jeder andere Anteil von Osten nach Westen. In seiner Mitte liegt das Heiligtum.
“And beside the border of Judah, from the east side to the west side, shall be the allotment which you shall set apart, 25,000 cubits in width, and in length like one of the portions, from the east side to the west side; and the sanctuary shall be in the middle of it.
Das Hebeopfer, das ihr dem HERRN als Abgabe entrichtet, hat eine Länge von 25 000 Ellen und eine Breite von 20 000 Ellen.
“The allotment that you shall set apart to the LORD shall be 25,000 cubits in length and 10,000 in width.
Das heilige Hebeopfer soll, wie folgt, eingeteilt werden: Den Priestern soll ein Stück gehören, das im Norden 25 000 Ellen lang ist, im Westen 10 000 Ellen breit, im Osten 10 000 Ellen breit und im Süden auch 25 000 Ellen lang. Das Heiligtum des HERRN soll in seiner Mitte liegen.
Portion for the Priests
“The holy allotment shall be for these, namely for the priests, toward the north 25,000 cubits in length, toward the west 10,000 in width, toward the east 10,000 in width, and toward the south 25,000 in length; and the sanctuary of the LORD shall be in its midst.
Den geweihten Priestern aus den Nachkommen Zadoks, die meinen Dienst verrichtet haben und die nicht abgeirrt sind, als die Israeliten ebenso in die Irre gingen wie die Leviten,
“It shall be for the priests who are sanctified of the sons of Zadok, who have kept My charge, who did not go astray when the sons of Israel went astray as the Levites went astray.
ihnen soll als Hebeopfer ein Stück von dem Land gehören, das als Hebeopfer entrichtet wurde; es ist hochheilig und liegt neben dem Gebiet der Leviten.
“It shall be an allotment to them from the allotment of the land, a most holy place, by the border of the Levites.
Den Leviten soll wie den Priestern ein Gebiet von 25 000 Ellen Länge und 10 000 Ellen Breite gehören. Das Ganze hat also eine Länge von 25 000 Ellen und eine Breite von 20 000 Ellen.
“Alongside the border of the priests the Levites shall have 25,000 cubits in length and 10,000 in width. The whole length shall be 25,000 cubits and the width 10,000.
Man darf nichts davon verkaufen oder zum Tausch anbieten noch darf man dieses beste Stück des Landes auf andere übertragen; denn es ist dem HERRN heilig.
“Moreover, they shall not sell or exchange any of it, or alienate this choice portion of land; for it is holy to the LORD.
Die 5 000 Ellen, die längs der 25 000 Ellen in der Breite noch übrig bleiben, sind nicht heilig, sondern gehören der Stadt als Wohngebiet und Weidefläche. Die Stadt soll mitten darin liegen.
“The remainder, 5,000 cubits in width and 25,000 in length, shall be for common use for the city, for dwellings and for open spaces; and the city shall be in its midst.
Ihre Maße sollen im Norden 4500 Ellen und im Süden 4 500 Ellen betragen, ebenso 4 500 Ellen im Osten und 4 500 Ellen im Westen.
“These shall be its measurements: the north side 4,500 cubits, the south side 4,500 cubits, the east side 4,500 cubits, and the west side 4,500 cubits.
Die Weidefläche der Stadt erstreckt sich 250 Ellen nach Norden, 250 Ellen nach Süden, 250 Ellen nach Osten und 250 Ellen nach Westen.
“The city shall have open spaces: on the north 250 cubits, on the south 250 cubits, on the east 250 cubits, and on the west 250 cubits.
Was dann der Länge nach noch übrig ist längs des heiligen Hebeopfers, sind 10 000 Ellen nach Osten und 10 000 Ellen nach Westen. Es liegt längs der heiligen Hebeopfer und von seinen Erträgen sollen sich die Arbeiter der Stadt ernähren.
“The remainder of the length alongside the holy allotment shall be 10,000 cubits toward the east and 10,000 toward the west; and it shall be alongside the holy allotment. And its produce shall be food for the workers of the city.
Die Arbeiter der Stadt, die dieses Stück bebauen, sollen aus allen Stämmen Israels sein.
“The workers of the city, out of all the tribes of Israel, shall cultivate it.
Das ganze Hebeopfer soll 25 000 mal 25 000 Ellen betragen. Als Quadrat einschließlich des Eigentums der Stadt sollt ihr das heilige Hebeopfer entrichten.
“The whole allotment shall be 25,000 by 25,000 cubits; you shall set apart the holy allotment, a square, with the property of the city.
Was zu beiden Seiten des heiligen Hebeopfers und des Besitzes der Stadt übrig bleibt, soll dem Fürsten gehören: Von den 25 000 Ellen des Hebeopfers bis zur Ostgrenze und von den 25 000 Ellen der Westseite bis zur Westgrenze, entsprechend den Stammesanteilen, sollen dem Fürsten gehören. Das heilige Hebeopfer und das Tempelheiligtum liegen mitten darin.
Portion for the Prince
“The remainder shall be for the prince, on the one side and on the other of the holy allotment and of the property of the city; in front of the 25,000 cubits of the allotment toward the east border and westward in front of the 25,000 toward the west border, alongside the portions, it shall be for the prince. And the holy allotment and the sanctuary of the house shall be in the middle of it.
Abgesehen vom Besitz der Leviten und abgesehen vom Besitz der Stadt, die mitten in dem Gebiet liegen, das dem Fürsten gehört, soll das Gebiet zwischen der Grenze Judas und der Grenze Benjamins dem Fürsten gehören.
“Exclusive of the property of the Levites and the property of the city, which are in the middle of that which belongs to the prince, everything between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin shall be for the prince.
Die übrigen Stämme: Von Osten nach Westen Benjamin — ein Anteil;
Portion for Other Tribes
“As for the rest of the tribes: from the east side to the west side, Benjamin, one portion.

“Beside the border of Benjamin, from the east side to the west side, Simeon, one portion.
neben dem Gebiet Simeons von Osten nach Westen Issachar — ein Anteil;
“Beside the border of Simeon, from the east side to the west side, Issachar, one portion.
neben dem Gebiet Issachars von Osten nach Westen Sebulon — ein Anteil;
“Beside the border of Issachar, from the east side to the west side, Zebulun, one portion.
neben dem Gebiet Sebulons von Osten nach Westen Gad — ein Anteil.
“Beside the border of Zebulun, from the east side to the west side, Gad, one portion.
Neben dem Gebiet Gads verläuft im Negeb die Südgrenze; sie führt von Tamar zu den Quellen von Meribat-Kadesch und zu dem Bach, der ins große Meer fließt.
“And beside the border of Gad, at the south side toward the south, the border shall be from Tamar to the waters of Meribath-kadesh, to the brook of Egypt, to the Great Sea.
Das ist das Land, das ihr als Erbbesitz an die Stämme Israels verlosen sollt, und das sind ihre Anteile — Spruch GOTTES, des Herrn.
“This is the land which you shall divide by lot to the tribes of Israel for an inheritance, and these are their several portions,” declares the Lord GOD.
Das sind die Ausgänge der Stadt: auf der Nordseite, 4 500 Maß, drei Tore:
The City Gates
“These are the exits of the city: on the north side, 4,500 cubits by measurement,
— die Stadttore aber sind nach den Stämmen Israels benannt — : drei Tore im Norden: das Tor Ruben ist eines, das Tor Juda ist eines, das Tor Levi ist eines;
shall be the gates of the city, named for the tribes of Israel, three gates toward the north: the gate of Reuben, one; the gate of Judah, one; the gate of Levi, one.
auf der Ostseite, 4 500 Maß, drei Tore: das Tor Josef ist eines, das Tor Benjamin ist eines, das Tor Dan ist eines;
“On the east side, 4,500 cubits, shall be three gates: the gate of Joseph, one; the gate of Benjamin, one; the gate of Dan, one.
auf der Südseite, 4 500 Maß, drei Tore: das Tor Simeon ist eines, das Tor Issachar ist eines, das Tor Sebulon ist eines;
“On the south side, 4,500 cubits by measurement, shall be three gates: the gate of Simeon, one; the gate of Issachar, one; the gate of Zebulun, one.
die Westseite, 4 500 Maß, drei Tore: das Tor Gad ist eines, das Tor Ascher ist eines, das Tor Naftali ist eines.
“On the west side, 4,500 cubits, shall be three gates: the gate of Gad, one; the gate of Asher, one; the gate of Naphtali, one.
