Und da sie es nicht für wert erachteten, sich gemäß ihrer Erkenntnis an Gott zu halten, lieferte Gott sie einem haltlosen Denken aus, sodass sie tun, was sich nicht gehört:

Und gleichwie sie nicht geachtet haben, daß sie Gott erkenneten, hat sie Gott auch dahingegeben in verkehrten Sinn, zu tun, was nicht taugt,
-
Gott war ihnen gleichgültig; sie gaben sich keine Mühe, ihn zu erkennen. Deshalb überlässt Gott sie einer inneren Haltung, die ihr ganzes Leben verdirbt. Und folglich tun sie Dinge, mit denen sie nichts zu tun haben sollten:
