Denn durch sein Sterben ist er ein für alle Mal gestorben für die Sünde, sein Leben aber lebt er für Gott.

Denn was er gestorben ist, das ist er der Sünde gestorben zu einem Mal; was er aber lebt, das lebt er Gott.

Mit seinem Tod hat Christus ein für alle Mal beglichen, was die Sünde fordern konnte. Jetzt aber lebt er, und er lebt für Gott.
