Denn lebendig ist das Wort Gottes, wirksam und schärfer als jedes zweischneidige Schwert; es dringt durch bis zur Scheidung von Seele und Geist, von Gelenken und Mark; es richtet über die Regungen und Gedanken des Herzens;

Denn das Wort Gottes ist lebendig und kräftig und schärfer denn kein zweischneidig Schwert, und dringt durch, bis daß es scheidet Seele und Geist, auch Mark und Bein, und ist ein Richter der Gedanken und Sinne des Herzens.

Gottes Wort ist voller Leben und Kraft. Es ist schärfer als die Klinge eines beidseitig geschliffenen Schwertes, dringt es doch bis in unser Innerstes, bis in unsere Seele und unseren Geist, und trifft uns tief in Mark und Bein. Dieses Wort ist ein unbestechlicher Richter über die Gedanken und geheimsten Wünsche unseres Herzens.
