»Ich will meine Zeit nicht länger mit dir vergeuden!«, unterbrach Joab ihn. Er nahm drei Speere und stieß sie Absalom, der immer noch am Baum hing, ins Herz.

Joab sprach: Ich kann nicht so lange bei dir verziehen. Da nahm Joab drei Spieße in seine Hand und stieß sie Absalom ins Herz, da er noch lebte an der Eiche.

Joab erwiderte: Ich kann mich nicht noch länger mit dir aufhalten. Und er nahm drei Spieße in die Hand und stieß sie Abschalom, der noch lebend an der Eiche hing, ins Herz.
