Die Dienstgruppen der Torwächter wurden von den Familienoberhäuptern und allen übrigen Männern gebildet. Wie die anderen Leviten versahen auch sie ihren Dienst im Tempel des HERRN.

Dies sind die Ordnungen der Torhüter nach den Häuptern der Männer im Amt neben ihren Brüdern, zu dienen im Hause des HERRN.

Diese Abteilungen der Torwächter besorgten die Wache mit der Gesamtheit ihrer Männer. Wie ihre Brüder taten sie Dienst im Haus des HERRN.
