Hoffnung für Alle
Haschabja und seine Verwandten aus der Sippe Hebron, 1700 erfahrene Männer, waren für das Gebiet westlich des Jordan zuständig. Sie mussten sich dort für die Belange des Tempels einsetzen und standen zugleich im Dienst des Königs.

Unter den Hebroniten aber waren Hasabja und seine Brüder, tüchtige Leute, 1700, über die Ämter Israels diesseit des Jordans gegen Abend, zu allerlei Geschäft des HERRN und zu dienen dem König.

Von den Nachkommen Hebrons hatten Haschabja und seine Brüder, siebzehnhundert tüchtige Männer, die Aufsicht über Israel westlich des Jordan in allen Angelegenheiten des HERRN und im Dienst des Königs.
