    In Hebron wurden König David folgende Söhne geboren: Der älteste hieß Amnon, seine Mutter war Ahinoam aus Jesreel. Danach kam Daniel, seine Mutter war Abigajil aus Karmel.

    Now these were the sons of David who were born to him in Hebron: The firstborn was Amnon, by Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; the second, [a]Daniel, by Abigail the Carmelitess;

    Absalom war der dritte Sohn, seine Mutter hieß Maacha und war eine Tochter von Talmai, dem König von Geschur. Der vierte Sohn hieß Adonija, und seine Mutter war Haggit.

    the third, Absalom the son of Maacah, the daughter of Talmai, king of Geshur; the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith;

    Pedajas Söhne hießen Serubbabel und Schimi. Serubbabels Söhne waren Meschullam und Hananja; dazu kamen eine Tochter namens Schelomit

    The sons of Pedaiah were Zerubbabel and Shimei. The sons of Zerubbabel were Meshullam, Hananiah, Shelomith their sister,

    sowie weitere fünf Söhne: Haschuba, Ohel, Berechja, Hasadja und Juschab-Hesed.

    and Hashubah, Ohel, Berechiah, Hasadiah, and Jushab-Hesed — five in all.

    Hananjas Söhne waren Pelatja und Jesaja. Auf Jesaja folgten in direkter Linie Refaja, Arnan, Obadja und Schechanja.

    The sons of Hananiah were Pelatiah and Jeshaiah, the sons of Rephaiah, the sons of Arnan, the sons of Obadiah, and the sons of Shechaniah.

    Schechanjas Sohn hieß Schemaja. Schemaja hatte sechs Söhne: Hattusch, Jigal, Bariach, Nearja und Schafat.

    The son of Shechaniah was Shemaiah. The sons of Shemaiah were Hattush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah, and Shaphat — six in all.
