Sie antworteten: »Sei freundlich zu ihnen und gib ihnen nach. Wenn du heute bereit bist, auf dein Volk zu hören, dann wird dein Volk morgen auf dich hören und dir dienen.«

Sie redeten mit ihm und sprachen: Wirst du diesem Volk freundlich sein und sie gütig behandeln und ihnen gute Worte geben, so werden sie dir untertänig sein allewege.

Sie sagten zu ihm: Wenn du gut gegen dieses Volk bist, ihnen zu Willen bist und freundlich mit ihnen redest, dann werden sie immer deine Diener sein.
