Hoffnung für Alle
Wenn Jerusalem wieder aufgebaut und seine Mauern errichtet werden, dann verliert dein Reich alle Gebiete westlich des Euphrat.«

Darum tun wir dem König zu wissen, daß, wo diese Stadt gebaut wird und ihre Mauern gemacht, so wirst du vor ihr nichts behalten diesseit des Wassers.

Wir machen also den König darauf aufmerksam: Wird diese Stadt wieder aufgebaut und werden ihre Mauern vollendet, dann hast du keinen Anteil mehr am Gebiet jenseits des Stroms.
