Hoffnung für Alle
Wir gehören doch zum selben Volk wie die anderen Juden! Unsere Kinder sind nicht weniger wert als ihre. Und doch müssen wir ihnen unsere Söhne und Töchter als Sklaven verkaufen; einige unserer Töchter sind schon in ihrer Gewalt. Wir sind machtlos, denn unsere Felder und Weinberge gehören ja ihnen.«

nun ist doch wie unsrer Brüder Leib auch unser Leib und wie ihre Kinder unsre Kinder, und siehe, wir müssen unsre Söhne und Töchter unterwerfen dem Dienst, und sind schon unsrer Töchter etliche unterworfen, und ist kein Vermögen in unsern Händen, und unsre Äcker und Weinberge sind der andern geworden.

Wir sind doch vom selben Fleisch wie unsere Stammesbrüder; unsere Kinder sind ihren Kindern gleich und doch müssen wir unsere Söhne und Töchter zu Sklaven erniedrigen. Einige von unseren Töchtern sind schon erniedrigt worden. Wir sind machtlos und unsere Felder und Weinberge gehören anderen.
