»Richte den Israeliten aus: Wenn jemand unabsichtlich gegen eines meiner Gebote verstößt, dann muss ein Opfer dargebracht werden.«
“Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. This is how you are to deal with those who sin unintentionally by doing anything that violates one of the LORD’s commands.
»Wenn der Hohepriester gegen mich sündigt und so Schuld über das ganze Volk bringt, dann muss er einen jungen, fehlerlosen Stier als Opfer für seine Sünde darbringen.
Er soll den Stier zum Eingang des heiligen Zeltes führen, seine Hand auf den Kopf des Tieres legen und es dort in meiner Gegenwart schlachten.
Dann nimmt er etwas von dem Blut und bringt es in das Heiligtum.
The high priest will then take some of the bull’s blood into the Tabernacle,
Er taucht seinen Finger hinein und sprengt siebenmal etwas davon gegen den Vorhang zum Allerheiligsten.
dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle it seven times before the LORD in front of the inner curtain of the sanctuary.
Anschließend streicht er Blut an die vier Hörner des Räucheropferaltars im heiligen Zelt. Alles restliche Blut gießt er draußen an den Fuß des Brandopferaltars beim Zelteingang.
The priest will then put some of the blood on the horns of the altar for fragrant incense that stands in the LORD’s presence inside the Tabernacle. He will pour out the rest of the bull’s blood at the base of the altar for burnt offerings at the entrance of the Tabernacle.
Dann entnimmt er dem Stier alles Fett: das Fett an und über den Eingeweiden,
Then the priest must remove all the fat of the bull to be offered as a sin offering. This includes all the fat around the internal organs,
die Nieren mit dem Fett, das sie bedeckt, sowie den Fettlappen an der Leber.
the two kidneys and the fat around them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver. He must remove these along with the kidneys,
Es sind genau die gleichen Fettstücke, die dem Rind beim Friedensopfer entnommen werden. Der Priester soll alles auf dem Brandopferaltar verbrennen.
just as he does with cattle offered as a peace offering, and burn them on the altar of burnt offerings.
Das Fell des Stieres, sein ganzes Fleisch, Kopf und Schenkel, die Eingeweide und den Darminhalt
But he must take whatever is left of the bull — its hide, meat, head, legs, internal organs, and dung —

and carry it away to a place outside the camp that is ceremonially clean, the place where the ashes are dumped. There, on the ash heap, he will burn it on a wood fire.
»Wenn das ganze Volk Israel unabsichtlich gegen eines meiner Gebote verstößt, dann lädt es Schuld auf sich, selbst wenn es sich dessen nicht bewusst ist.
“If the entire Israelite community sins by violating one of the LORD’s commands, but the people don’t realize it, they are still guilty.
Erkennen die Israeliten dann aber ihre Sünde, sollen sie einen jungen Stier zum heiligen Zelt bringen.
When they become aware of their sin, the people must bring a young bull as an offering for their sin and present it before the Tabernacle.
Dort legen die führenden Männer Israels ihre Hände auf den Kopf des Tieres und schlachten es in meiner Gegenwart.
The elders of the community must then lay their hands on the bull’s head and slaughter it before the LORD.
Der Hohepriester bringt etwas von dem Blut in das heilige Zelt,
The high priest will then take some of the bull’s blood into the Tabernacle,
taucht seinen Finger hinein und sprengt siebenmal etwas davon gegen den Vorhang zum Allerheiligsten, wo ich gegenwärtig bin.

Dann entnimmt er dem Stier alles Fett und geht dabei genauso vor wie bei dem Opfer, das er für seine eigene Schuld darzubringen hat. Alles Fett verbrennt er auf dem Brandopferaltar. So soll der Priester das Volk mit mir versöhnen, und ich werde den Israeliten ihre Schuld vergeben.
Then the priest must remove all the animal’s fat and burn it on the altar,
Was von dem Stier übrig bleibt, muss — wie beim Sündopfer für den Hohenpriester — aus dem Lager gebracht und verbrannt werden. Dies ist das Sündopfer für die Gemeinschaft der Israeliten.«
Then the priest must take what is left of the bull and carry it outside the camp and burn it there, just as is done with the sin offering for the high priest. This offering is for the sin of the entire congregation of Israel.
»Wenn das Oberhaupt eines Stammes unabsichtlich gegen eines meiner Gebote verstößt und so Schuld auf sich lädt,
“If one of Israel’s leaders sins by violating one of the commands of the LORD his God but doesn’t realize it, he is still guilty.
dann soll er, sobald ihm seine Sünde bewusst wird, einen fehlerlosen Ziegenbock als Opfer darbringen.
When he becomes aware of his sin, he must bring as his offering a male goat with no defects.
Er legt seine Hand auf den Kopf des Bocks und schlachtet ihn in meiner Gegenwart, und zwar am Eingang des Heiligtums, wo auch die Tiere für das Brandopfer geschlachtet werden. Dies ist ein Sündopfer.
He must lay his hand on the goat’s head and slaughter it at the place where burnt offerings are slaughtered before the LORD. This is an offering for his sin.
Der Priester taucht seinen Finger in das Blut des Ziegenbocks und streicht es an die Hörner des Brandopferaltars. Das restliche Blut gießt er an den Fuß des Altars.
Then the priest will dip his finger in the blood of the sin offering and put it on the horns of the altar for burnt offerings. He will pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
Alles Fett des Tieres verbrennt er wie beim Friedensopfer auf dem Altar. So versöhnt er das Oberhaupt des Stammes mit mir, und ich werde seine Schuld vergeben.«
Then he must burn all the goat’s fat on the altar, just as he does with the peace offering. Through this process, the priest will purify the leader from his sin, making him right with the LORD, and he will be forgiven.
»Wenn sonst jemand unabsichtlich gegen eines meiner Gebote verstößt und so Schuld auf sich lädt,
“If any of the common people sin by violating one of the LORD’s commands, but they don’t realize it, they are still guilty.
dann soll er, sobald er seine Sünde erkannt hat, eine fehlerlose Ziege als Opfer für seine Sünde darbringen.
When they become aware of their sin, they must bring as an offering for their sin a female goat with no defects.
Er legt seine Hand auf den Kopf der Ziege und schlachtet sie vor dem heiligen Zelt, wo auch die Tiere für das Brandopfer geschlachtet werden.
They must lay a hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter it at the place where burnt offerings are slaughtered.
Wieder taucht der Priester seinen Finger in das Blut und streicht es an die Hörner des Brandopferaltars, das restliche Blut gießt er an den Fuß des Altars.
Then the priest will dip his finger in the blood and put it on the horns of the altar for burnt offerings. He will pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
Dann löst er alles Fett des Tieres ab — genau wie beim Friedensopfer — und verbrennt es auf dem Brandopferaltar. Solch ein wohlriechendes Opfer gefällt mir gut. Der Priester versöhnt dadurch den Schuldigen mit mir, dem HERRN, und ich werde ihm vergeben.
Then he must remove all the goat’s fat, just as he does with the fat of the peace offering. He will burn the fat on the altar, and it will be a pleasing aroma to the LORD. Through this process, the priest will purify the people, making them right with the LORD, and they will be forgiven.
Will der Mann ein Schaf als Sündopfer darbringen, dann soll er ein fehlerloses weibliches Tier aussuchen.
“If the people bring a sheep as their sin offering, it must be a female with no defects.
Er muss die Hand auf den Kopf des Schafes legen und es dann vor dem heiligen Zelt schlachten, wo auch die Tiere für das Brandopfer geschlachtet werden.
They must lay a hand on the head of the sin offering and slaughter it at the place where burnt offerings are slaughtered.
Der Priester taucht seinen Finger in das Blut und streicht es an die Hörner des Brandopferaltars, alles übrige Blut gießt er an den Fuß des Altars.
Then the priest will dip his finger in the blood of the sin offering and put it on the horns of the altar for burnt offerings. He will pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
Dann löst er alles Fett des Tieres ab — wie bei einem Schaf, das als Friedensopfer dargebracht wird —, legt es über die anderen Opfer auf den Altar und verbrennt es zusammen mit ihnen. So versöhnt der Priester den Schuldigen mit mir, dem HERRN, und ich werde ihm vergeben.«
Then he must remove all the sheep’s fat, just as he does with the fat of a sheep presented as a peace offering. He will burn the fat on the altar on top of the special gifts presented to the LORD. Through this process, the priest will purify the people from their sin, making them right with the LORD, and they will be forgiven.
