And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.

Der erste wurde von rotbraunen Pferden gezogen, der zweite von schwarzen,
In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses;
der dritte von weißen und der vierte von gescheckten. Sie alle waren kräftige Tiere.
And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses.
»Was soll das bedeuten, mein Herr?«, fragte ich den Engel, der mir alles erklärte.
Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord?
Er antwortete: »Diese Gespanne kommen vom Herrn der ganzen Welt und werden nun in seinem Auftrag in alle Himmelsrichtungen ziehen.
And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.
Die schwarzen Pferde reiten nach Norden, die weißen nach Westen und die gescheckten nach Süden.«
The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country.
Ungeduldig warteten die starken Pferde auf den Befehl zum Aufbruch. Als der Herr sagte: »Los, durchstreift die ganze Erde!«, da galoppierten sie davon.
And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth.
Mir aber rief er zu: »Achte auf das Gespann, das nach Norden aufgebrochen ist! Es zieht ins Land des Nordens, um dort meinen Zorn zu stillen.«
Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.
Wieder empfing ich eine Botschaft vom HERRN. Er gab mir den Auftrag:
The Crown and the Temple
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
»Geh noch heute ins Haus von Josia, dem Sohn von Zefanja! Dort sind Heldai, Tobija und Jedaja aus Babylonien eingetroffen, Abgesandte der Juden, die dort noch leben. Nimm die Gaben in Empfang, die sie mitgebracht haben!
Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;
Lass aus dem Silber und Gold eine Krone anfertigen, setze sie dem Hohenpriester Jeschua, dem Sohn von Jozadak, auf
Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest;
und sag ihm: ›So spricht der HERR, der allmächtige Gott: Ein Mann wird aus der Nachkommenschaft von David hervorgehen, unter dessen Herrschaft das Land wieder aufblühen wird. Er ist es, der meinen Tempel wieder aufbauen wird.
And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:
Ja, er wird ihn bauen, und er wird hohes Ansehen genießen, wenn er den Thron besteigt, um über sein Volk zu regieren. Der Hohepriester wird an seiner Seite sein, und es wird völlige Einigkeit zwischen ihnen bestehen.
Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
Die Krone soll in meinem Tempel aufbewahrt werden, zur Erinnerung an Heldai, Tobija, Jedaja und an die Gastfreundschaft von Josia.
And the crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the LORD.
Aus weiter Ferne werden Menschen kommen und beim Bau des Tempels mithelfen.‹« Daran sollt ihr erkennen, dass der HERR, der allmächtige Gott, mich zu euch gesandt hat. Dies alles wird eintreffen, wenn ihr auf den HERRN, euren Gott, hört und ihm gehorcht.
And they that are far off shall come and build in the temple of the LORD, and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. And this shall come to pass, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God.
