Daran kann also jeder erkennen, wer ein Kind Gottes oder wer ein Kind des Teufels ist. Alle, die Unrecht tun und ihren Bruder oder ihre Schwester nicht lieben, sind niemals Gottes Kinder.

Daran wird’s offenbar, welche die Kinder Gottes und die Kinder des Teufels sind. Wer nicht recht tut, der ist nicht von Gott, und wer nicht seinen Bruder liebhat.

Daran kann man die Kinder Gottes und die Kinder des Teufels erkennen: Jeder, der die Gerechtigkeit nicht tut und seinen Bruder nicht liebt, ist nicht aus Gott.
