Wohnt der Besitzer weit weg von euch oder kennt ihr ihn nicht, dann nehmt das Tier mit nach Hause und versorgt es, bis man nach ihm fragt. Dann gebt es zurück.
And if he does not live near you and you do not know who he is, you shall bring it home to your house, and it shall stay with you until your brother seeks it. Then you shall restore it to him.
Das Gleiche gilt, wenn ihr einen entlaufenen Esel findet oder einen Mantel, den jemand hat liegen lassen. Immer wenn ihr jemandem helfen könnt, etwas Verlorenes zurückzubekommen, dann tut es! Verweigert niemandem eure Hilfe!
And you shall do the same with his donkey or with his garment, or with any lost thing of your brother’s, which he loses and you find; you may not ignore it.
Wenn ihr seht, dass der Esel oder das Rind eines anderen Israeliten auf der Straße gestürzt ist, dann geht nicht vorbei, sondern helft, das Tier wieder auf die Beine zu bringen!

Eine Frau soll keine Männerkleidung tragen und ein Mann keine Frauenkleidung. Wer so etwas tut, den verabscheut der HERR, euer Gott.
“A woman shall not wear a man’s garment, nor shall a man put on a woman’s cloak, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.
Wenn ihr unterwegs in einem Baum oder am Boden ein Nest entdeckt, in dem ein Vogel brütet oder seine Jungen füttert, dann fangt ihn nicht!
“If you come across a bird’s nest in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs and the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother with the young.
Nur die Jungen dürft ihr euch nehmen. Die Mutter lasst frei! Haltet euch daran, dann wird es euch gut gehen, und ihr werdet lange leben.
You shall let the mother go, but the young you may take for yourself, that it may go well with you, and that you may live long.
Wenn ihr ein neues Haus baut, dann sichert das Flachdach mit einem Geländer! Sonst seid ihr schuld, wenn jemand abstürzt und ums Leben kommt.
“When you build a new house, you shall make a parapet for your roof, that you may not bring the guilt of blood upon your house, if anyone should fall from it.
Wenn ihr einen Weinberg anlegt, dann pflanzt dort außer den Weinstöcken nichts anderes an! Sonst müsst ihr alles im Heiligtum abliefern, was ihr an Trauben und anderen Früchten erntet.
Spannt nicht Rind und Esel zusammen vor den Pflug!

Tragt keine Kleidung aus Mischgewebe, in der Wolle und Leinen zusammengewebt sind!
You shall not wear cloth of wool and linen mixed together.
Näht Quasten an die vier Enden eurer Obergewänder!
“You shall make yourself tassels on the four corners of the garment with which you cover yourself.
Es kann geschehen, dass ein verheirateter Mann schon nach kurzer Zeit nichts mehr von seiner Frau wissen will.
Laws Concerning Sexual Immorality
“If any man takes a wife and goes in to her and then hates her
“If any man takes a wife and goes in to her and then hates her
Er bringt sie in Verruf und behauptet: »Als ich mit meiner Braut geschlafen habe, stellte sich heraus, dass sie keine Jungfrau mehr war!«
and accuses her of misconduct and brings a bad name upon her, saying, ‘I took this woman, and when I came near her, I did not find in her evidence of virginity,’
Dann sollen die Eltern der Frau zu den führenden Männern gehen, die am Stadttor Gericht halten, und ihnen das Bettlaken aus der Hochzeitsnacht zeigen.
then the father of the young woman and her mother shall take and bring out the evidence of her virginity to the elders of the city in the gate.
Der Vater soll erklären: »Ich habe meine Tochter diesem Mann zur Frau gegeben. Aber jetzt liebt er sie nicht mehr.
And the father of the young woman shall say to the elders, ‘I gave my daughter to this man to marry, and he hates her;
Deshalb verleumdet er sie und behauptet, sie habe schon vorher mit jemandem geschlafen. Aber die Blutflecken auf diesem Tuch beweisen, dass sie noch Jungfrau war.« Die Eltern sollen das Laken vor den führenden Männern der Stadt ausbreiten.
and behold, he has accused her of misconduct, saying, “I did not find in your daughter evidence of virginity.” And yet this is the evidence of my daughter’s virginity.’ And they shall spread the cloak before the elders of the city.
Dann soll der Mann dafür ausgepeitscht werden,
dass er eine junge israelitische Frau verleumdet hat. Außerdem hat er 100 Silberstücke an seinen Schwiegervater zu zahlen. Er muss seine Frau behalten und darf sich sein Leben lang nicht von ihr trennen.
Hat er aber die Wahrheit gesagt und hat man keinen Beweis erbringen können, dass die Frau noch Jungfrau war,
But if the thing is true, that evidence of virginity was not found in the young woman,
dann soll man sie vor die Tür ihres Elternhauses führen, und die Männer der Stadt sollen sie dort steinigen. Sie muss sterben, weil sie sich im Haus ihrer Eltern wie eine Hure verhalten hat. Das ist eine Schande für ganz Israel. Ihr müsst alles Böse aus eurem Volk beseitigen!
then they shall bring out the young woman to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has done an outrageous thing in Israel by whoring in her father’s house. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.
Wenn ein Mann mit der Frau eines anderen schläft und man ertappt sie, dann müssen beide sterben. Duldet keine solche Schandtat in eurem Volk!
“If a man is found lying with the wife of another man, both of them shall die, the man who lay with the woman, and the woman. So you shall purge the evil from Israel.
Trifft ein Mann in der Stadt eine junge Frau, die mit einem anderen verlobt ist, und er schläft mit ihr,
“If there is a betrothed virgin, and a man meets her in the city and lies with her,
dann sollt ihr die zwei aus der Stadt bringen und steinigen. Beide müssen sterben: die junge Frau, weil sie nicht um Hilfe gerufen hat, obwohl sie in der Stadt war, und der Mann, weil er sich an der Braut eines anderen vergriffen hat. Ihr müsst das Böse aus eurem Volk beseitigen!
then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city, and you shall stone them to death with stones, the young woman because she did not cry for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbor’s wife. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.
Wenn aber ein Mann draußen auf dem Feld ein verlobtes Mädchen vergewaltigt, soll nur er getötet werden.
“But if in the open country a man meets a young woman who is betrothed, and the man seizes her and lies with her, then only the man who lay with her shall die.
Der jungen Frau soll nichts geschehen, denn sie hat nichts getan, was den Tod verdient! Sie ist wie von einem Mörder überfallen worden.
But you shall do nothing to the young woman; she has committed no offense punishable by death. For this case is like that of a man attacking and murdering his neighbor,
Obwohl sie geschrien hat, konnte es niemand dort draußen hören und ihr helfen.
because he met her in the open country, and though the betrothed young woman cried for help there was no one to rescue her.
Wenn herauskommt, dass sich ein Mann an einer jungen Frau vergangen hat, die noch nicht verlobt ist,
“If a man meets a virgin who is not betrothed, and seizes her and lies with her, and they are found,
dann muss er ihrem Vater 50 Silberstücke zahlen und sie heiraten. Er darf sich sein Leben lang nicht von ihr trennen, weil er sie gezwungen hat, mit ihm zu schlafen.
then the man who lay with her shall give to the father of the young woman fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife, because he has violated her. He may not divorce her all his days.
