Die beiden Männer setzten sich hin und aßen und tranken miteinander. »Tu mir doch den Gefallen«, bat der Schwiegervater, »und bleib noch eine Nacht hier. Lass es dir bei mir gut gehen!«

Und sie setzten sich und aßen beide miteinander und tranken. Da sprach der Dirne Vater zu dem Mann: Bleib doch über Nacht und laß dein Herz guter Dinge sein.

So blieben sie und die beiden aßen und tranken zusammen. Der Vater der jungen Frau aber sagte zu dem Mann: Entschließ dich doch und bleib über Nacht und lass dein Herz froh sein!
