Da sprach die ältere zu der jüngeren: Unser Vater ist alt, und ist kein Mann mehr auf Erden der zu uns eingehen möge nach aller Welt Weise;

Eines Tages sagte die ältere Tochter zur jüngeren: »Überall auf der Welt wird geheiratet — nur hier gibt es weit und breit keinen Mann für uns. Und unser Vater ist auch schon alt geworden. Wenn unsere Familie nicht aussterben soll, dann müssen wir etwas unternehmen. Deshalb habe ich mir einen Plan ausgedacht: Wir machen ihn mit Wein betrunken und legen uns zu ihm.«

Eines Tages sagte die Ältere zur Jüngeren: Unser Vater wird alt und einen Mann, der mit uns verkehrt, wie es in aller Welt üblich ist, gibt es nicht.
