Der Bogen Jonathans hat nie gefehlt, und das Schwert Sauls ist nie leer wiedergekommen von dem Blut der Erschlagenen und vom Fett der Helden.

Die Pfeile Jonatans verfehlten nie das Ziel, nie schlug das Schwert von König Saul daneben. Stets trieften ihre Waffen vom Blut der Durchbohrten, sie glänzten vom Fett der erstochenen Helden.

Ohne das Blut von Erschlagenen, ohne das Mark der Helden kam der Bogen Jonatans nie zurück; auch das Schwert Sauls kehrte niemals erfolglos zurück.
