Doch bei deiner Zeit will ich’s nicht tun um deines Vaters David willen; sondern von der Hand deines Sohnes will ich’s reißen.

Nur weil dein Vater David mir so treu gedient hat, tue ich es noch nicht zu deinen Lebzeiten. Aber sobald dein Sohn die Nachfolge antritt, mache ich meine Drohung wahr.

Nur deines Vaters David wegen werde ich es nicht schon zu deinen Lebzeiten tun; erst deinem Sohn werde ich es entreißen.
