von solchen Völkern, davon der HERR gesagt hatte den Kindern Israel: Gehet nicht zu ihnen und laßt sie nicht zu euch kommen; sie werden gewiß eure Herzen neigen ihren Göttern nach. An diesen hing Salomo mit Liebe.

Er tat es, obwohl der HERR den Israeliten ausdrücklich verboten hatte, sich mit diesen Völkern zu vermischen. Sie sollten nicht untereinander heiraten, weil die Israeliten von ihren ausländischen Ehepartnern zum Götzendienst verführt werden könnten. Salomo aber hing mit großer Liebe an seinen Frauen.

Es waren Frauen aus den Völkern, von denen der HERR den Israeliten gesagt hatte: Ihr dürft nicht zu ihnen gehen und sie dürfen nicht zu euch kommen; denn sie würden euer Herz ihren Göttern zuwenden. An diesen hing Salomo mit Liebe.
