Da versammelte der König Salomo zu sich die Ältesten in Israel, alle Obersten der Stämme und Fürsten der Vaterhäuser unter den Kindern Israel gen Jerusalem, die Lade des Bundes des HERRN heraufzubringen aus der Stadt Davids, das ist Zion.

Salomo rief die führenden Männer von Israel, die Oberhäupter aller Stämme und Sippen, zu sich nach Jerusalem. Sie sollten dabei sein, wenn die Bundeslade des HERRN aus der »Stadt Davids«, dem Stadtteil Jerusalems auf dem Berg Zion, zum Tempel gebracht wurde.

Damals versammelte Salomo die Ältesten Israels, alle Stammesführer und die Häupter der israelitischen Großfamilien bei sich in Jerusalem, um die Bundeslade des HERRN aus der Stadt Davids, das ist Zion, heraufzuholen.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion. -
