Und es begab sich im neunten Jahr seines Königreichs, am zehnten Tage des zehnten Monats, kam Nebukadnezar, der König zu Babel, mit aller seiner Macht wider Jerusalem; und sie lagerten sich dawider und bauten Bollwerke darum her.

Darum zog Nebukadnezar erneut mit seinem ganzen Heer nach Jerusalem, um die Stadt anzugreifen. Im 9. Regierungsjahr von Zedekia, am 10. Tag des 10. Monats, begannen die Babylonier mit der Belagerung Jerusalems. Rings um die Stadt bauten sie Angriffsrampen.

Im neunten Regierungsjahr, am zehnten Tag des zehnten Monats, rückte Nebukadnezzar, der König von Babel, mit seiner ganzen Streitmacht vor Jerusalem und belagerte es. Man errichtete ringsherum einen Belagerungswall.
